MORE INFORMATION

This Weequay figure was released in 2008's Target exclusive Ultimate Battlepack, which was themed after the Sarlacc Pit of Carkoon. This is another figure which was never given a name, and it simply is called by its species. The Weequay can be seen in Return Of The Jedi standing right behind Luke Skywalker, trying to push him into the Sarlacc pit.

The figure was originally released individually carded in 1997 and for this release, 11 years later, Hasbro re-used the same mold with a different paint application. The paint job is not necessarily any better this time around, but it makes the figure look different compared to previous releases.

The Weequay has the for the 90ties typical 6 joints (head, 2 arms, waist, 2 legs), which limits you as to how you can display the figure. The included vibro axe fits well into both hands, but it's made out of very soft plastic and is likely to bend over time. The head sculpt is well done and pretty detailed for a figure which was developed in 1996/1997.

All in all, it's an OK looking figure which feels outdated. However, if you are looking for a variety among your Weequay guards, you might want to consider getting this one.

PACKAGING TEXT

"Victims of the almighty Sarlacc, his Excellency hopes that you will die honorably..." But Luke isn't about to let his friends die at the Pit of Carkoon. As the young Jedi stands on the skiff above the hungry Sarlacc, he springs his daring escape plan. Boba Fett uses the firing grappling hook in his gauntlet to briefly recapture Luke, but with a lightsaber's slash, Skywalker is once again free. One by one, Jabba's guards fall into the pit to be devoured by the Sarlacc. Lando barely escapes from becoming the creature's next meal, and is saved just in time by Han Solo. But Boba Fett doesn't fare as well; Han accidentally activates Fett's backpack and sends the bounty hunter tumbling into the Sarlacc's gaping mouth!

Jabba's skiff guard is surprised when Luke launches an attack and a fellow guard turns out to be an imposter.
