MORE INFORMATION

This Baron Papanoida figure was released exclusively in a multipack during The Saga Collection through starwarsshop.com in 2006. The 4-figure-set was titled Lucas Collector's Set and featured Baron Papanoida, Zett Jukassa, Terr Taneel and Chi Eekway. Baron Papanoida was played by the maker himself, George Lucas, and can be seen very briefly in Revenge Of The Sith's opera scene.

The baron has a total of 8 joints, including a swivel neck, 2 ball-jointed shoulders, swivel elbows and wrists, and a movable waist. There are no movable parts below the waist, and even though the legs are molded individually, they can't be moved. Luckily, the figure has no balancing issues. The only accessory included with Baron Papanoida was a walking stick, which has a small Death Star sitting on the top of it. Unfortunately, the walking stick is too short to reach the ground, and it sits very loosely in both of the figure's hands. The headdress and the hard-plastic cape are not removable.

The paint job on Baron Papanoida is pretty simple overall, but is was cleanly applied. The figure's sculpt looks good, especially the facial are looks nice. Overall, this Baron Papanoida figure is well done. It might be a bit on the boring, politician-kind-of side, but if you are a fan of never-before-released characters, or are looking for some background aliens to fill your diorama, you might want to consider adding this figure to your collection.
