MORE INFORMATION

This animated-style Senate Commando figure was released in a Target exclusive 2-pack during The Clone Wars Collection in October 2010. The other figure in the set was a Senate Commando Captain. Senate Commandos can be seen various Clone Wars episodes.

The figure uses the same sculpt as the Senate Commando Captain, which means it's super articulated with 14 joints. The neck, both shoulders, both elbows, the wrists, the waist, both knees and ankles are ball-jointed. Only the hip is swivel jointed. The Senate Commando figure has no balancing problems. The included blaster rifle fits pretty well into the figure's left hand, but it doesn't want to stay all that well in the right. And just like on the Senate Commando Captain, the helmet and the big left shoulder plate are not removable.

The paint application on the Senate Commando is very simple with a dark blue and some black, with no dirty or weathering. Granted, this is the way the character appeared in the Clone Wars TV show, but it still looks plain. The super articulated sculpt is brilliant, and should please army builder fans. All in all, this Senate Commando is very well worth getting, especially since it came packed-in together with the Senate Commando Captain, which is also a great figure.
