MORE INFORMATION

This animated-style Nikto Guard Puko Naga was released individually carded as a Toys'R'Us exclusive in September 2010 during The Clone Wars collection. The figure is based on a character seen in The Clone Wars movie while Anakin Skywalker talks to Jabba The Hutt.

Puko Naga has 10 movable parts, including a ball-jointed neck, ball-jointed shoulders, ball-jointed elbows, swivel wrists, a swivel waist and legs. The knees and ankles are not articulated. Because of the wide, and more action oriented pose, the figure stands a little shaky and will very likely require the included stand to keep its balance. There were 4 accessories included with Puko Naga, a blaster rifle, a hand blaster, removable head gear and a holster, which hangs around the figure's neck down on its right side. The blaster fits only very loosely into the right hand, but with patience it can be placed in a way so that the figure's index finger sits on the trigger. Unfortunately, the rifle doesn't fit in either of Puko Naga's hands. The head gear is a decent fit though, and can easily be put on or taken off the figure's head. The satchel fits well and houses the blaster OK.

The paint job on the animated-style Puko Naga is very simple with only black, silver and gray colors on the entire outfit. However, the head and the upper chest plate are painted nicely. The figure's sculpt unfortunately is only average, with the hands being too big, the leg stance being too wide without articulated knees and ankles to adjust it. In addition to that, both weapons and the head gear are made out of extremely soft plastic and bend very easily. All in all, this figure makes a nice background figure for an animated, Clone-Wars-inspired Jabba The Hutt display (and it's a never-before-done figure), but we know that Hasbro can do much better than this!

PACKAGING TEXT

Puko Naga is a Nikto guard in Jabba The Hutt's palace. With his fellow guards, he protects the crime lord from his many victims and disgruntled associates. Thousands of years ago, the Nikto swore their allegiance to the Hutts, and they still carry out this pledge by working as guards, warriors and henchmen for the Hutts.
