MORE INFORMATION

This Luke Skywalker figure was released during The Legacy Collection in 2009 as part of a battle pack titled "Resurgence Of The Jedi". The set also included Star Wars figures of C-3PO, R2-D2 and Obi-Wan Kenobi. This figure is based on Luke Skywalker's appearance as seen towards the beginning parts of Star Wars, when Luke is still on Tatooine.

Luke Skywalker has 14 joints, including ball-joints in the neck, shoulders, elbows, the knees and ankles. The wrists, the waist and both legs are swivel jointed. The figure's feet are pretty close together, but it keeps its balance nicely anyways. The only weapon included was a blue lightsaber, which Luke can hold well in both hands. There was no cape, individual lightsaber hilt, binoculars or a hat included with this release.

The paint app on Tatooine Luke is cleanly applied, but his tunic and boots seems a bit too dark in color. The head sculpt together with the rest of the figure look fantastic and makes for one of the best looking Tatooine Luke Skywalkers released as of this review.

PACKAGING TEXT

"For a thousand years, the Jedi Knights were the guardians of peace and justice in the galaxy, before the dark times, before the Empire..." The Resurgence of the Jedi Order begins on the remote desert planet of Tatooine. Obi-Wan Kenobi gives Luke Skywalker a lightsaber that belonged to Luke's father, and when Luke activates the weapon, it marks the beginning of a new generation of Jedi...and a new hope for the galaxy.
