MORE INFORMATION

  • The Senate Guard was released in a shared exclusive 4-pack simply titled "Guards" late September 2017
  • The set could be purchased at Gamestop, ThinkGeek and Barnes'N'Noble stores and it retailed between $79 and $89
  • The four figures included in this set are the Senate Guard, the Imperial Royal Guard, the Emperor's Shadow Guard and the Elite Praetorian Guard
  • The Senate Guard, the Imperial Royal Guard and the Emperor's Shadow Guard share the same body and details underneath the robes
  • This is the first time Hasbro has released a Senate Guard in the Black Series 6" line
  • The figure captures the likeness of the Senate Guards as seen in Star Wars: Revenge Of The Sith
  • The Senate Guard came with a blaster rifle and a blaster
  • The blaster fits well into the holster underneath the robes, but the figure isn't able to hold it well
  • The blaster rifle is a good fit for the right hand
  • With enough patience it's possible to hang the rifle over the Senate Guard's shoulders, just the way it was seen in the movie
  • The helmet can be popped off the body (we don't recommend this, it's difficult to do), but this way the soft-goods robe can be removed
  • The blue robe covers the entire body well, but it feels bulky and thin at the same time
  • It takes times to make the robe flow good on the figure, but with patience it's possible to do
  • There is no head underneath the helmet
  • Even though this figure has the typical ball-joint on top of the neck, and a swivel joint in the neck, the head can only be moved up and down a little bit because of the helmet length in the front and back
  • The paint application mimics the colors seen on Senate Guards from ROTS nicely
  • The Senate Guard has no balancing issues
  • Overall, this version of the Senate Guard was sculpted and painted well and it's is a nice addition to the currently under-represented Revenge Of The Sith line-up of figures in Hasbro's 6" The Black Series line

PACKAGING TEXT

For centuries, the Senate Guards kept the galaxy's legislators from harm while they went about the Republic's business on the capital world of Coruscant. With the decline of the Republic, the blue guards were eventually phased out by Imperial stormtrooper patrols and the red guard in the Emperor's service.
