Original Trilogy Collection
The Star Wars Original Trilogy Collection was released during Fall 2004 to support the release of the Original Trilogy on DVD. The toy line consisted mainly of slightly altered or differently painted figures which had been released before. However, there were some highlights in this series, such as a modern version of the Blue Snaggletooth or a newly sculpted Dagobah Luke Skywalker with an alternate head and arms. Vintage Original Trilogy Collection
The Vintage Original Trilogy Collection was a sub-line of 12 action figures of the basic Original Trilogy Collection. At the time these figures were marketed as the best representations of these characters which Hasbro ever produced in terms of likeness and articulation. All 12 figures were released in vintage-inspired cardbacks, which shipped in protective clamshells to stores so that collectors could obtain figures in pristine condition.
