The Last Jedi toy line debuted on Force Friday II September 1, 2017 world wide. Instead of including build-a-weapon parts or oversized fantasty type weapons with the figures, Hasbro implemented the FORCE LINK feature which made figures talk and gave creatures and vehicles sounds. The sound feature could be activated via the FORCE LINK wrist band, which includes a sensor and a speaker. For The Last Jedi toys Hasbro removed the NERF shooting mechanism from the previous Rogue One toy line and instead of giving pilot figures simple yellow visors Hasbro replaced them with see-through versions and a fully sculpted face behind it.
Out of 68 figures released 24 were exclusives, which shows a focus of 35.29% on exclusives and 64.71% on regularly available figures.
