MORE INFORMATION

This Darth Maul figure was released as a Walmart exclusive in August 2009 together with Protocol Droid I-5YQ. The figure was previously released in the TAC and TLC evolution sets minus the soft-goods robe. Darth Maul is super articulated with 12 ball-joints plus two swivel joints in his wrists. Thanks to the ankle joints the figure stands very securely without the need for additional support. The soft goods cloak fits well over the figure, but unfortunately the material the robe is made out of is so thin that you can see through! The soft goods skirt under his belt is not removable, but looks quite nice.

The coolest part about this Darth Maul figure is the paint application on his upper body, going from his chest to both arms, his back up into his face. It's spot on and looks pretty cool. The double-bladed lightsaber with non-removable red blades fits well into both of Darth Maul's hands and the figure looks menacing and evil when in "battle position". All things considered, if you don't own this version of the Sith apprentice yet, and if you are looking for a Darth Maul figure that is not based on The Phantom Menace, you can't go wrong by adding this one to your collection!

PACKAGING TEXT

In the novel Darth Maul: Shadow Hunter, the Sith apprentice goes after an information broker who knows too much about a plan to destroy the Republic. The broker's modified protocol droid I-5YQ is left without an owner after the deadly outcome between his master and Darth Maul.
