Dash Rendar was one of the main characters in The Shadows Of The Empire multimedia event. Dash Rendar was released in 1996 together with a blaster, and a heavy blaster weapons pack which can be plugged into Rendar's back. Once you attach the heavy weapons pack, the figure starts having balancing problems and you will very likely require a stand so Dash doesn't fall over. Overall, the weapons fit quite well into Dash Rendar's hands and the paint application is done well. The face sculpt looks nice and it somewhat looks like Dash Rendar from the Shadows Of The Empire graphic novel. Like most of the figures from the 90ties, it falls pretty short when it comes to articulation (only 6 basic joints). All in all, it's a decent figure.

Rendar flew a snowspeeder as a mercenary during the Battle of Hoth, and Princess Leia later hired him to protect Luke Skywalker from the dark Prince Xizor's ruthless bounty hunters. He played a significant role in the effort to overcome Xizor by destroying numerous Black Sun starships with his state of the art Outrider starfighter. With Rendar at the helm, the vessel is one of the quickest and most fearsome fighting machines in the galaxy.
