This Darth Maleval figure was released in an exclusive Entertainment Earth 6-pack in spring of 2009. The Sith lord was never seen in any of the movies, but was featured in the Star Wars: Legacy comic book series.
Darth Maleval is super articulated with 14 joints, which gives you as much freedom as possible to position him in any way that you want. Thanks to articulated ankles and knees you can adjust the stance easily and eliminate any balancing issues. Maleval's joints feel stiff and the arms and legs will stay in whatever position you move them in. Hasbro included a red lightsaber, an "electric wwaist" and a removable soft goods cloak with the figure. The lightsaber and the wwaist handle fit well into both hands. The wwaist consists of two parts, a handle and a string. The string can be plugged into the handle to "simulate energy". The soft goods cloak has two wires in it, one in the neck area, and one at the bottom. This way you can tighten it around the neck to give it a more secure fit, and change up the bottom to make it more or less bulky looking. The cloak is really, really well done and with a little bit of patience you will be able to make it look the way you want it.
The detail in the front and the back of the armor is well done and is very close to what fans saw in the comic book series. The Quarren's head sculpt is superb and features a nice paint job as well. All in all, this Darth Maleval figure is as good as it gets in 2009 in terms of articulation, paint job and accessories. On top of that Darth Maleval is a very cool looking character, and if you are a fan of the Legacy comic book series, or if you like Sith Lords, this figure is for you!

The 407th is ordered to stop the defection, and Sith Lord Maleval joins them to ensure that they finish the job.
