Ziro The Hutt's IG-86 droid was released in the Clone Wars Collection in October 2009. This version of IG-86 can be seen in the Clone Wars movie, escorting Padme Amidala to her jail cell.
This release marks the 3rd time for Hasbro to release an IG-86 droid in the Clone Wars animated line. The first IG-86 figure was released individually carded in 2008 with the second IG-86 figure following in 2009's Ambush On The Vulture's Claw battlepack.
This time the figure features the same paint application which Ziro The Hutt's IG-86 droids had in the Clone Wars movie, including the insignia on the left chest plate. All the markings seem to be spot on when compared to the IG-86 movie counterpart. The assassin droid has 16 points of articulation, which is simply put pretty amazing. Even more amazing is that they are well hidden, which doesn't distract or diminish the look of the droid the slightest.
Both droid blasters fit well into the figure's hands and the backpack attaches firmly on the back of the droid. Both of the blasters can be attached to the backpack, which enables the droid to engage in other activities without having to hold a blaster in a hand.
Overall, if you like IG-86 droids, you can't go wrong with this action figure. 16 articulated joints, great character likeness, and a good paint job all add up to make a great IG-86 figure!
