Hrchek Kal Fas was released individually carded in November 2009 as part of The Legacy Collection's A New Hope wave. Hrchek Kal Fas can be seen in several Tatooine cantina scenes in the original Star Wars movie.
The figure has a total of 14 joints, and articulated knees and ankles guarantee a good balance. Hrchek Kal Fas' right hand is sculpted so that it can hold the included glass very well, but it's too wide open to hold the blaster. The left hand is molded with an open palm and is useless when it comes to holding anything. The blaster is a good fit for the bulky looking holster, which is located on the right side of the non-removable belt.
The paint application is well applied and shows the saurin in a clean outfit without any dirt on it. The head sculpt is cool looking with an open mouth, revealing the saurin's teeth. Hasbro paid good attention to the height of the figure as it is a little shorter than regular figures, which is great because the character appeard shorter in the movie as well. All in all, this Hrchek Kal Fas figure is a very welcome addition to the ever growing cantina figures. It's a never-before-done and super articulated figure, and if you have any love for star wars figures based on the original movie, you should add it to your collection!
