Assassin Droid HK-50 was released in wave 12 towards the end of 2009's Legacy Collection as a build-a-droid figure. HK-50 can be seen in the video game Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords.
HK-50 is a repaint of the previously released HK-47 build a droid figure. The droid has 14 joints and you should not have any problems adjusting the stance so the droid stands on its own. Unfortunately, HK-50 can't hold the blaster rifle in a way that makes sense, and there were no other accessories included.
Hasbro gave HK-50 a nice bluish, metallic looking paint application which looks pretty close to the video game original. Considering that Hasbro has not released HK-50 in action figure form before, and in general hasn't released too many action figures based on The Knights Of The Old Republic, this figure is a welcome addition. It should please Star Wars collectors who are into the Expanded Universe, and collectors who want to expand their background characters or droids.
There was no packaging text for HK-50. The figure was a BAD (build-a-droid) figure and could only be obtained when figures with all the individual parts were purchased and then assembled.
