Sergeant Edian a.k.a. the "Black Bespin Guard" was released at the end of 2009 in The Legacy Collection's basic assortment. Sergeant Edian can be seen very briefly in several scenes on Bespin.
Edian is super articulated with 14 joints, including a ball-jointed neck, shoulders, elbows, knees and ankles. There are swivel joints in both wrists, the waist and both legs. The figure comes with 5 accessories, a removable hat, a stun baton, a blaster, and 2 removable holsters. The hat is a good fit, but it might feel as if it sits loose at first. However, you can press it down hard, and it'll stay on top of the head firmly attached and won't fall off. The blaster is a perfect fit for the holster, and the figure's left hand. It actually fits so well that the Bespin Guard's finger is right on the trigger. The stun baton is a great fit for the figure's right hand, and it also fits nicely into the holster on the right side of the figure's waist. The Bespin Guard has two holes on each side of the waist where both holsters can be plugged in. The cool thing is that both holsters don't look overly bulky and compliment the figure nicely.
The paint application is executed well, with the outfit being a solid, darker blue with some red on the end of the sleeves. The subtle golden accents on the upper shirt look nice, and the paint job in the facial area is done very nicely as well. Unfortunately, both holsters are kept in a simple gray without any weathering or accents. The figure's mold is superb, especially the fantastically sculpted head stands out. Overall, this Sergeant Edian "Bespin Guard" is a great, super articulated figure. It looks quite close to the movie version, and if you like The Empire Strikes Back Cloud City sequences, you'd want to add Sergeant Edian to your collection!
The elite Wing Guard is in charge of security on Cloud City, working as police officers, customs officials, and crisis controllers. Troopers such as Utris M'Toc and Sergeant Edian handle these crucial duties with honesty and efficiency.
