This Storm Commando figure was released in March of 2010, in The Legacy Collection's Walmart exclusive comic 2-pack. The set included this figure, and a General Weir figure. This type of the Storm Commando was featured in the comic book series "X-Wing: Rogue Leader".
The figure is super articulated with 14 joints, and there are no balancing problems whatsoever. Essentially, Hasbro used the same mold for this Storm Commando as they did for General Weir, except for the helmet. Unlike General Weir's helmet, this one is not removable, and unfortunately is also quite a bit smaller than Weir's. It's a little odd having both figures stand next to each other, with one of the figure's helmet being so much bigger. Especially when you consider that they are both supposed to be in the same unit, wearing essentially the same imperial armor. The two small Biker-Scout-type blasters are a good fit for the figure's right hand, but they don't fit into the left and keep falling out. But, just like on the General Weir figure, you can place one of the blasters into the holster located on the right boot.
The paint job on the Storm Commando is OK, but there is no weathering, and there are no other colors besides a glossy black on the armor, and silver on the helmet's visor. All in all, this Storm Commando is a decent, super articulated figure, which is also quite different in paint and mold from the previously released Walmart exclusive Storm Commando from 2009's evolution set. If you are a fan of the Star Wars: X-Wing Rogue Leader comic book series, you might want to look into adding this figure to your collection.
General Weir launches a counter-rebellion after the Battle of Endor to undermine the Rebel Alliance. The Imperial general discovers that Luke Skywalker is in the city of Coronet and, with his stormtroopers and storm commandos, goes after the Rebel hero.
