This transparent looking version of the Shadow Stormtrooper was released in both The Force Unleashed Toys'R'Us exclusive multipacks in May of 2010. Shadow Stormtroopers are featured in The Force Unleashed video game series.
The figure is super articulated, with ball-joints in the neck, shoulders, elbows, upper waist, knees and ankles. Swivel joints are in the wrists and both legs. There are no balancing issues, and the figure has a very nice natural, human stance to it. Hasbro included a basic Imperial blaster with the trooper, which is also kept in clear, see-through plastic. It's an OK fit for either of the Shadow Stormtrooper's hands, but feels almost a bit too loose. The blaster can also be stowed away in the holster, which is located on the left side of the waist. Besides the blaster, there were no other accessories included with the figure. The helmet is not removable.
The paint job on the Shadow Stormtrooper is pretty interesting with some light blue in the abdominal area, forearms, bottom of the legs and the helmet cheeks. The figure's super articulated mold is fantastic, and captures the look of a Stormtrooper very well. Overall, it's an interesting, super articulated Stormtrooper, and it'll add some variety to your The Force Unleashed action figures. However, the funky colors on a classic Stormtrooper might not be for everybody.
These Imperial shock troopers receive advanced training in stealth tactics and combat techniques. They truly are shadows, blending in with such skill that their targets never know that these covert spies were ever present.
