This Janek Sunber was released in a Walmart exclusive comic 2-pack during The Legacy Collection in Fall of 2009. The second figure in the set was an Amanin warrior. Janek "Tank" Sunber was featured in the Star Wars: Empire and Star Wars: Rebellion comic book series.
Janek has 14 points of articulation, with most of them being swivel joints. The only ball-joints are in the neck, knees and both ankles. The adjustable knees and ankles come in very handy, and help so that the figure can be balanced out nicely. The hat sits firmly on top of the head, but it looks almost a little bit too big. The included blaster fist OK into Janek Sunber's right hand, but it doesn't want to stay in his left.
The paint application on Janek Sunber is well done, with some dirt on the boots, and on the front and back of the Imperial uniform. The figure's overall look is great, and despite a lot of swivel joints, it should please fans of the expanded universe or of the Rebellion and Empire comic book series.
Lieutenant Janek Sunber faces jealous Imperial officers and fierce Amanin aliens on the jungle world of Maridun. Determined to make something of himself, Sunber joins the infantry, where his tactical skills draw everyone's notice. His commander rewards him with promotions and the Amanin honor his courage, but others respond with resentment and betrayal. There's no shortage of battles, bloodshed and bravery as everyone fights "To the Last Man."
