MORE INFORMATION

  • Astromech Droid R7-F5 was released in an Entertainment Earth exclusive 6-pack in October 2016
  • The entire set included astromech droids of R7-F5, QT-KT, Jabba's Bartender, R7-D4, R2-C2 and R2-A5
  • All the astromech droid molds used for this set are identical, Hasbro used this particular sculpt first for The Vintage Collection R2-D2 #25
  • This version of R7-F5 is a realistic interpretation of the droid which was seen in the Clone Wars cartoon
  • The front panel can be opened and one of the tools can be manually extended
  • Unfortunately, every astromech droid in the set reviewed here on J.B. had issues keeping the panel closed all the way
  • The dome can be rotated 360 degrees (no clicking sound), but the sensorscope needs to be taken out first
  • When the middle leg is pushed into the body, the sensorscope pops out of the dome
  • When the sensorescope is pused into the dome, the middle leg will extend out
  • The left and right leg each have two wheels in them so that the droid can be moved around
  • A nice detail which is included on all the astromech droids in this set are the cables on the front of the feet (newer Disney Build-A-Droids don't have this detail anymore)
  • R7-F5 stands well on display without any balancing issues
  • The figure was painted nicely without any factory errors or smudges on the droid

PACKAGING TEXT

There was no additional information on the box but the Entertainment Earth website had following information: Serving the Shadow Squadron during The Clone Wars, R7-F5 appeared briefly in the episode "Shadow of Malevolence." Ideally suited for a Y-Wing bomber, this diminutive orange droid will look fantastic with the rest of your Grand Army of the Republic, or in your droid pool.
