This animated-style Ki-Adi Mundi was released individually carded during The Clone Wars Collection in October 2010. The Jedi Master can be seen in various Clone Wars episodes.
The figure has 12 joints total, with the neck, shoulders, elbows and knees being ball-jointed. The wrists, the waist and both legs have swivel joints. The ankles are not adjustable, and unfortunately the figure stands pretty shaky on its own without a stand. The only accessory included with Ki-Adi Mundi (besides the stand, die and game card) was a blue lightsaber, which fits nicely in the Jedi Master's left hand, but is a very loose fit for the right. The right hand is molded with two fingers pointing, which is cool if you want to display the figure "using the force" on some separatists. Unfortunately, Hasbro didn't included a Jedi robe.
The paint job on Ki-Adi Mundi is cleanly applied, especially the facial area around the eyes is done extremely well. The Jedi looks overall a bit plain, but that's just the way the character looked like in the Clone Wars TV show. The almost super articulated sculpt is well done and captures the likeness of Ki-Adi Mundi from the TV show very well. Overall, this first animated release of Ki-Adi Mundi is nicely done, and is a cool addition to the Clone Wars Collection.
Ki-Adi-Mundi is part of the massive attack to destroy a Geonosis factory churning out dangerous new battle droids. Damaged by enemy fire, the Jedi's transport crashes short of the designated landing point. As he pushes forward, Ki-Adi-Mundi and his squad enter a cave where they are attacked by Geonosian drones.
