MORE INFORMATION

A-Wing Fighter Pilot Sila Kott was available in a Toys'R'Us exclusive 4-pack titled "Battle Over Endor (2 of 2)", and was released in January 2011 in the Shadow Of The Dark Side Collection. The set included Sila Kott, Y-Wing pilot Ekelarc Yong, astromech droid R5-P9 and Tie Fighter pilot Lt. Oxixo. Sila Kott can be seen in the cockpit of an A-Wing fighter in The Return Of The Jedi during the Battle of Endor.

The figure is in line with other A-Wing pilot figures such as Jake Farrell and Arvel Crynyd. Sila Kott has 14 joints, including a ball-jointed neck, 2 ball-jointed shoulders, 2 ball-jointed elbows, 2 swivel forearms, a swivel waist and hip, 2 ball-jointed knees and 2 ball-jointed ankles. The figure stands quite nicely on its own without any major balancing problems. The blaster fits overall well into both hands, and the helmet can be placed on the pilot perfectly, with the mic set pointing straight at the mouth. The chest box is not removable, and the life-support cable is permanently attached to it. However, the cable can be plugged into the flight suit, or kept hanging down loosely.

The dark green on Sila Kott's flight suit looks fantastic. The details on the chest box and especially on the helmet are painted very nicely too. The figure's sculpt with 14 movable parts is very well done, with nicely hidden joints and hard to move limbs. The figure doesn't feel cheap and really leaves a nice impression. When Sila Kott was released there was some discussion whether the character was female or male, because the pilot in Jedi was played by an actress, but the voice over for the movie was done by a male actor. We can't answer this question either, and we'll leave this up to your imagination. But, it's still a fantastic figure, based on a character from the original trilogy which has not been released before! It sure is a nice addition to the collection!
