Animated Master Yoda was released individually carded in 2004 during the original cartoon-style Clone Wars toy line. Master Yoda can be seen in various different scenes in the cartoon, but he was seen fighting the most on the ice planet Ilum.
Master Yoda has only 3 swivel joints, which are in the neck and both arms. No other parts on the figure are movable. Because the body is a solid piece of plastic, Master Yoda stands very, very well by himself without a stand. The jedi robe is made out of plastic and part of the figure, and can't be removed. The only weapon included was Master Yoda's green lightsaber, which the Jedi can hold tightly in the right hand.
The paint application on cartoon Yoda is cleanly applied, but nothing spectacular. However, the figure's look overall is just way cool (despite only having 3 joints), and this version of Master Yoda is probably one of the cutest rendition released by Hasbro so far.
Through the creative vision of Lucasfilm Ltd. and the Cartoon Network, the Clone Wars are brought to life in an exciting new series of short animated chapters. A unique animation style captures the drama of this epic period in galactic history along with its outstanding heroes and adversaries. Noble Jedi warriors lead Clone Troopers into battle against the evil Separatist forces and their droid armies. Anakin, Obi-Wan, Yoda and their comrades struggle against the rising power of the dark side and confront personal challenges against a backdrop of war-torn planets.
