This cartoon-style ARC Trooper was released individually carded in Spring 2005, and was later the same year re-packed as a Walmart exclusive in the Jedi Force Pack along with Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker. ARC Troopers were first seen on screen in the Tartakovsky Clone Wars cartoon in 2003.
The ARC Trooper has 4 joints, including a ball-jointed neck, 2 swivel arms and a swivel waist. The rest of the figure is static. The trooper can be balanced out OK, but for more stability, you might want to use the included stand. Hasbro included 2 blasters with the figure, which fit both nicely into the holsters. The ARC Trooper's left hand can also hold the blaster very well. The helmet, the range-finder, the shoulder armor and the karma around the waist are not removable.
The paint application on the cartoon-style ARC Trooper matches the TV version quite well. The sculpt looks nice and does a good job capturing the hand-signal poses these troopers were seen in. It's a cool looking figure overall, and a great addition to the cartoon-style Tartakovsky Clone Wars line-up.
Through the creative vision of Lucasfilm Ltd. and the Cartoon Network, the Clone Wars are brought to life in an exciting new series of short animated chapters. A unique animation style captures the drama of this epic period in galactic history along with its outstanding heroes and adversaries. Noble Jedi warriors lead Clone Troopers into battle against the evil Separatist forces and their droid armies. Anakin, Obi-Wan, Yoda and their comrades struggle against the rising power of the dark side and confront personal challenges against a backdrop of war-torn planets.
