The Hasbro Star Wars team held a livestream this morning on the Hasbro Pulse YouTube channel where they showed new Star Wars action figures, below is a summary of all the amazing announcements (there were a lot!) and sponsored pre-order links.
Entertainment Earth (starting at 1pm EST 6/10/2021)
Amazon (starting at 1pm EST 6/10/2021)
Target (starting at 1pm EST 6/10/2021)
At the beginning of the presentation the team briefly circled back to the last livestream and talked about the Republic Trooper figure which won the Fan Vote recently, it will be out in Spring of next year and it'll be exclusive to ShopDisney.com and Hasbro Pulse (pre-orders go live tomorrow June 10, 2021 at 1pm EST). There will be some updates to the packaging when compared to the previous release and the figure will have the photo real deco update.
Next the team showed the often requested Hoth Rebel Trooper VC68, which should make a lot of fans very happy that he's finally being re-released, and with an updated photo real portrait nonetheless. The packaging for this figure was not available yet but they'll try to recreate the original release as much as possible. The figure will be available at most major retailers starting at 1pm EST on 6/10/2021 (check Entertainment Earth!)
Bo-Katan (based on the Mandalorian), which is an entirely new sculpt, will come with a swapple helmet, a movable range-finder on the helmet, a removable jet-pack, two blasters and functional holsters. The figure will also have a photo real portrait. The Mythrol is an entirely new figure and will come with a blaster, a bounty holo puck, binders and a cutting tool.
The livestream featured a segment dedicated to the Razor Crest, which gave us a behind-the-scenes look at the packaging shoot, and a first look at Kuiil which will be released later this year. Chris Reiff from the Hasbro team mentioned that Jon Favreau stopped by the office to inspect the Razor Crest for himself and he shared this quote from Jon:
"Half the fun of working on a Star Wars project is seeing the toys that are created. It was a thrill to meet the artists behind the line of Hasbro Mandalorian products." - Jon Favreau
There will be more updates about the Razor Crest in the coming months before it ships.
Pipeline reveals for The Vintage Collection included Bib Fortuna (ROTJ) and Lobot (ESB), along with the Navarro Cantina playset from the Mandalorian. Expect those figures and the playset to be available very late or early next year. The team will share more information about the figures and the playset in a future update.
The first reveal for Hasbro's Black Series line was the last wave of Archive figures for 2021. The four figures revealed were Princess Leia Organa (A New Hope), Obi-Wan Kenobi (Revenge Of The Sith), the 501st Clone Trooper (Revenge Of The Sith) and Darth Revan. Leia and Obi-Wan will come with the photo real update and Darth Revan's lightsaber blades will have more vibrant colors than before. All four figures are part of Hasbro's celebration of Lucasfilm's 50th anniversary and will feature the Lucasfilm 50th logo on the packaging, they'll go on pre-order at most major retailers on 6/10/2021 at 1pm EST.
With 2021 being the 5th Anniversary of Rogue One we'll see more figures from that movie. Jyn Erso, Cassian Andor, Chirrut Imwe and Baze Malbus will be released with photo real updates. K-2SO will be re-released and comes with white eyes instead of red ones (side note, this figure was previously released in two versions, with white eyes and with red eyes). Bodhi Rook will join the crew, this figure is an entirely new sculpt and a first time release in the 6" Black Series line. All those figures are Fan Channel exclusives and will be available for pre-order tomorrow, June 10, 2021 at 1pm EST at a variety of online stores including Entertainment Earth (sponsored).
The Rogue One crew will be joined by Blue Leader Antoc Merrick and Galen Erso (he'll come with the Death Star plans!). Both figures are exclusive to Target and will be available for pre-order tomorrow on June 10, 2021 at 1pm EST. The figures are exclusive to Toys'R'Us in Canada and exclusive to the Fan Channel in the UK (Zavvi for example). Besides showing figures from Rogue One we also found out that the color for Rogue One packaging will be turquoise.
The team also showed what figures will be released in the future in their pipeline reveal segment, but those figures are in early development and were not ready to be shown yet. Announced figures included: Bib Fortuna (ROTJ), Nomad Boba Fett (The Mandalorian), Mayfeld (The Mandalorian), Cobb Vanth (The Mandalorian), Fennec Shand (The Mandalorian) and the Jedha Patrol Stormtrooper (Rogue One). In addition to single boxed figures the team also teased a new HasLab project coming soon, the only hint they gave was that it will not be a vehicle. Now, go hide your wallets!
All in all this was another great livestream with lots of cool Star Wars figures heading our way. Unfortunately the Bad Batch was missing completely from this presentation, but Patrick mentioned at the very end that there will be more reveals in a couple of weeks for TVC and TBS from fan sites, so stay tuned!
