J.B. continues to be your premier resource for Star Wars action figures. Today we've added the 3.75" Kylo Ren action figure to the system which was sold exclusively in Japan in the BluRay Movie Nex bundle. The set included Kylo Ren, an exclusive display stand by Takara Tomy (the distributor for Hasbro Star Wars in Japan), 10 mini posters, a 3-disc Steelbook BluRay set, a digital copy and a guide book to The Force Awakens. Have a look at the figure entry for all the details.
You can now find following Hasbro 3.75" Star Wars figures from the 2006 Saga Collection in the database:

You can now find the 2006 Shock Trooper from the Greatest Battles sub-line in the database, check it out!
You can now find Hasbro's 3.75" Saga Collection AT-TE Tank Gunner in the database. The figure was originally released during the 2005 Revenge Of The Sith toy line, but was one year later re-released in the Greatest Battles sub-line. Click on the link or the image to learn more about the figure.

We dug in the crates and pulled out the 20 year old Episode I Electronic CommTech Reader, we took new pictures and re-examined the technology. Please join us for a fresh look at the Electronic CommTech Reader!
Completing a full set of Episode I CommTech chips can be challenging because Hasbro canceled or delayed some figures which caused gaps in the CommTech chip numbering. In order to help you get organized and find out if you have a full set at home have a look at the Guide To CommTech Chips.
We've pulled out an Episode I booklet from 1999 and scanned in all the pages. This turned out to be a lot of fun and it's interesting to see what Star Wars figures were advertised, you'll find Episode I figures in it, but they also mixed the Original Trilogy in with some Power Of The Force figures. Towards the back you find the board and electronic games which were hip at the time. Go and have fun looking at all the toys!
We've added every commtech chip from the 1999 Episode I Collection to the database. Each figure entry now shows the chip and you can listen to all the voice samples. Keep in mind that the technology is 20 years old now and some of the voice samples sound quite distorted. It was a fun toy line with a neat gimmick, have fun browsing the Episode I collection and listen to the voice samples!
Barnesandnoble.com has marked down Black Series 6" action figures drastically. There are some downsides, most of them are sold out online, but if you give it a shot you might just get lucky. Black Series 6" Dewbacks and Rey's Speeders are marked down to $14.99 each, they are sold out online, but you can check your local store availability and pick it up there. 15 bucks for a Black Series Dewback or Rey's Speeder? Wow!
The new Black Series 6" Archive figures are marked down to $4.99 each, again they are sold out online, but you can check store availability in your area online.
They also have the fantastic Black Series FX Kylo Ren lightsaber marked down to $49.98 and the FX Obi-Wan Kenobi lightsaber is marked down to $43.74, and both are available online!
Some collect them, some don't care about them at all. Either way, you can now find a full photo gallery of all the covers and backs of the small 10 page Star Wars Galaxy Of Adventure comic books on the website. Those small collectible comic books were packed in together with Star Wars Galaxy Of Adventure action figures, you can find a full list of figures here: Star Wars Galaxy Of Adventure figures and the comic book photo gallery here.
You can now find following figures from the Heroes & Villains series in the database:
Here is a look at new additions to the database from the Star Wars Saga Collection:
During Star Wars Celebration Chicago 2019 the official Star Wars website revealed the product packaging for the final installment of the Skywalker Saga. The packaging features Kylo Ren in front of a star field next to the classic yellow Star Wars logo. Join us for a look at all the Star Wars packaging designs in the Disney era since 2015.
You can now find Clone Commander Bacara from Hasbro's 3.75" The Saga Collection in the database. The figure was part of the Heroes & Villains sub-line in 2006, have a look here:
Star Wars: Galaxy Of Adventures 3.75" action figures by Hasbro are on display at stores in a cardboard display. Series 1 and 2 had their own designs on the cardboard box and we expect series 3 to have a unique design as well. To have a look at the display check out some high-res images.

We've finished another toy line! This makes three this week! First we added the last figure to the Black Series 3.75" series to the database (Han Solo with Cinema box, Amazon Italy), then we finished the Rogue One Collection with the international version of Finn and the Desert Landspeeder and now we've finished the SOLO: A Star Wars Story toy line with the Red Squadron A-Wing pilot!
Technically the Resistance A-Wing Fighter (Red Squadron) could be considered part of the Last Jedi toy line, but because it came out late and with updated Force Link 2.0 technology implemented we added it to the SOLO action figure line. To learn more about this set have a look here: Resistance A-Wing Fighter With Pilot!
We've just finished our Black Series 3.75" toy line with the rare Amazon Italy exclusive Han Solo in Cinema Box a few days ago, and today we are happy to report that we've finished our 3.75" Rogue One Collection as well! The last entry into the database was the Finn with Desert Landspeeder set, which in Rogue One packaging was only sold in International markets. To learn more about this set have a look here: Rogue One Collection - Finn With Desert Landspeeder
Happy May The Fourth!
If you've missed the previously Toys'R'Us exclusive Black Series 6" Clone Commander Gree figure then you get a second chance! Entertainment Earth is now taking pre-orders for this figure which will ship later this year, have a look!
We've taken a closer look at the entire first wave of Star Wars Retro Collection figures from Hasbro. We compared them to the originals and took comparison pictures, please have a look!
Here is a Black Series 3.75" action figure set which a lot of collectors missed out on. In late 2017, right before the release of Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Amazon Italy sold an exclusive cinema box set which included a Black Series 3.75" Han Solo figure.
The set featured the Hasbro and Black Series logos. The box included two movie theater tickets to see The Last Jedi, a BB-8 colored car charger, a BB-8 colored micro USB cable, BB-8 colored headphones, two headphone attachments for different ear sizes and the Han Solo figure. The set was limited to 500 pieces only and cost 49,99 Euros, which is currently $56.08 in the U.S. Needless to say, with only 500 sets made, and availability restricted to only Amazon Italy, this is the rarest of all Black Series 3.75" sets made. This was the last puzzle piece to our full Black Series 3.75" archive, have a look here for all figures made in this series: Star Wars Black Series 3.75" toy line.
To find out more about the figure and for our photo gallery have a look here: Black Series 3.75" Han Solo (Special Cinema Box), Amazon Italy exclusive
We've recveived a nice surprise from Hasbro! They sent a large envelope in the style of the original Kenner Early Bird Kit from 1977 which included a reproduction of the original 1977 Star Wars stickers. We'd like to say thank you to Hasbro for this fun piece and for sending it our way. We are looking forward to the Star Wars Retro Collection in a few weeks (the single carded figures are exclusively available at Target stores), and if you've been around the website then you already know that Grand Moff Tarkin has already been reviewed here on J.B.
For a look at what figures Hasbro has planned have a look at the photo gallery from this year's New York Toy Fair.

We've been re-organizing The Vintage Collection slightly, plus we've set up a new section which is dedicated to re-releases in The Vintage Collection. Even though those figures carry the same VC number on the back of the packaging as the previous released figures, we think that the paint differences on the figures and the changes to the packaging warrants its own section. The first figure for this new section is Luke Skywalker (Endor) VC23, which was updated with Hasbro's photo real face printing technology. You can read our original report about this change from a month ago here: Oh Yes They Are Different!
You can now find Hasbro's The Vintage Collection 3.75" Scarif Stormtrooper in the database, check it out!
You can now pre-order the new set of Vintage Collection figures at Entertainment Earth, have a look!
Sammy Delco just purchased the lastest Star Wars The Vintage Collection figures in China and gave us a closer look at the head sculpts. Initially Hasbro announced during New York Comic Con 2018 that those figures would be straight re-releases, with the exception of changes to the legal statements on the back of the packaging. Well, it looks like Hasbro took the opportunity and implemented the photo real face printing technology, which is a definite upgrade and well worth upgrading to if you own the previous releases. Check out the comparison shots!
Update: Darth Vader has been added, and he as well was updated with the photo real face printing technology.

We've added a Black Series 6" sub-section for the Black Series Archive line to the database. The archive line, which shipped to stores in January 2019 for the first time, includes re-issues of previously available Black Series figures. Here is a look at everything that we know thus far for The Black Series 6" line for 2019. We predict that we'll see most of the figures before the Summer is over, because Disney/Lucasfilm and Hasbro will certainly gear up for Star Wars: Episode IX in the Fall with figures based on the new Star Wars movie.
Let's take a look at what has been revealed so far.
Hasbro announced during New York Comic Con 2018 that a new format will join The Black Series family called Black Series XL. This gives us fans the opportunity to get figures in the Black Series which are bigger and taller. This is similar to the Gamorrean Guard and Moloch figures which are currently exclusively available at Target stores. With the bigger format however comes a bigger price, which will be $29.99. We don't know yet if those figures will be numbered.
The very first figure which we can look forward to is the fan-favorite General Grievous from Star Wars: Revenge Of The Sith. The figure will come with a premium soft-goods cape which has pockets on the inside for all the lightsaber hilts. General Grievous will have two arms which can be extended out into a four arm battle stance and Hasbro will include four lightsabers and one droid blaster. The figure will be out in Spring 2019.
You can now find the latest Vintage Collection figures at Entertainment Earth, have a look here!
Fellow collectors, we'd like to take this opportunity to say thank you for the support this past year. We've had an amazing time and it looks as if 2019 is going to be even bigger! In March of 2019 we'll celebrate our 15th Anniversary and we have no intentions of slowing down with our Star Wars action figure coverage, look for our reports from a variety of conventions including Star Wars Celebration in Chicago!
So thank you everybody for your support and May The Toys Be With You in 2019!
Here is an overview of 3.75" Star Wars Christmas action figures:
The Force Link 1.0 and 2.0 feature in Hasbro's 3.75" Star Wars action figure line received mixed reviews, especially with the 2.0 release in April 2018. We felt it was difficult to update, clunky to use and the smart phone app wouldn't work correctly when it was first released. In fact it took almost six months for Hasbro to release an update which enabled some of the figures and creatures' voice samples to work (e.g. Wampa). However, once the smart phone app and the Force Link bracelett were updated, there was quite a bit of fun to be had with the figures.
There were some figures released which didn't include original voice samples and featured other voice talents instead. We ignored those figures because it just doesn't get better than having the original voice samples implemented.
Holding a 3.75" Lando Calrissian action figure and having it say "I am too young and too good to retire." or having VAL scream at you "Here comes a world of hurt!" should bring a smile to anybody's face, so we thought let's pick our favorite voice samples from the past year and here is what we came up with!
It's a cool figure and picture you holding it and it screams at you "Here comes a world of hurt!" or "Show me what else you got!" :) Fun stuff, check it out:
We've taken a close look at every single Star Wars Black Series 6" figure released in 2018 a few days ago (you can look at the TOP 10 here), and today we are going to take a look at our favorite Force Link 2.0 figures from 2018. Just like with the Black Series, we took pictures of every figure released this year and we wrote down what we liked and disliked about each one. For a full list of Force Link 2.0 figures have a look here: Force Link 2.0 Database. The images below are all clickable, so you can get to each database entry and learn more about each figure.
The Kessel Guard was released in a 2-pack together with Lando Calrissian. Even though the figure has only five movable parts (1 head, 2 arms, 2 legs) it's a very cool looking figure. There were lots of small details worked into the helmet, the back, the chest area and the dirty and weathered paint application on the outfit looks nice. The staff can even be attached to the backpack. This figure is essential for a complete Kessel Mine display.
We've taken a close look at every single Star Wars Black Series 6" figure released in 2018, we took pictures of every figure from every angle, we wrote down what we liked about each one and what we didn't like, we discussed every database entry with you, our readers, and we talked about most of them on our Toy Run podcast. So here are our favorite TOP 10 Black Series Star Wars figures from 2018!
Rio Durant was released just recently but he has become one of our favorite Black Series figures in 2018. Hasbro gave the figure four movable arms, four elbows and four wrists, but most importantly the figure has the correct height and just looks like the character in the movie. It has a working holster, comes with two blasters and removable goggles. It's an overall well executed figure and the Ardennian compliments Beckett's crew perfectly!
Hasbro has announced new 3.75" Star Wars action figures to support Lucasfilm's brand new Star Wars Galaxy Of Adventures animated TV shorts. Steve Evans, Design Director at Hasbro for Star Wars toys, announced on several social media accounts today that he is moving on from his position to take on a new role at Hasbro as Creative Director for Consumer Products.
It's with great sadness that we see Steve Evans leave. He was accessible, open-minded and truly listened to the fans. His deep knowledge of Star Wars and enthusiasm shined through in every panel, interview and presentation and within the past five years he's become the face of Star Wars at Hasbro. We want to thank him for bringing The Vintage Collection back and for inventing the HasLab initiative which made Jabba's Sail Barge possible. The HasLab project in particular was a huge accomplishment by him and his team as it gives us fans the opportunity to get Star Wars toys which otherwise would never get made.
Most of all though we want to thank Steve for opening a channel of communication which gave us direct access to ask questions. When we interviewed Steve on our podcast TOY RUN back during the Summer of 2016, and asked how a Star Wars figure was being made, he would walk us through the process. He understood that we were genuinely interested in this, and it was later followed up with several videos and behind-the-scenes information during panel presentations (a trend which continues to this day) to keep us informed.
To communicate more with fans he brought the Fans Choice poll back (for 6" and 3.75"), there were several Instagram Q&A's, there was the Vintage Collection Conversation on HasbroPulse, we did a few Google Hangouts with Steve and members of the Star Wars team, and of course there were a lot of panels with Q&A's and interviews throughout the past five years.
Steve Evans introduced us to people working behind-the-scenes like Tom Rego (sculpting manager) and Mark Boudreaux (senior principal designer/legend) in the designer desk video series, which was interesting for us fans to see. Having Steve Evans place Mark Boudreaux in the foreground on several occassions and educating Star Wars collectors about his 40 year long contributions to Star Wars toys was also much appreciated.
The contact to fan sites was great and we felt that we made an impact with our answers and questions. JediBusiness.com's readers had been asking for the return of playsets, and we receiced the fantastic BB-8 playset last year, followed up with the awesome old-school heavy-cardboard Kessel Mine Escape and Mission On Vandor-1 playsets. He knew we didn't like the yellow banana visors on TFA figures, so he got rid of that. We wanted creatures to come back in the 3.75" line and he brought them back with the Rathtar/Wampa sets. We don't like NERF? Got it, let's get rid of NERF! We wanted the Vintage Collection? We got it. We ran an article about the Vintage Collection bubbles being too wide and that the artwork needs to be made bigger, and sure enough, it was confirmed that there will be changes made going forward.
Knowing that Steve Evans grew up like many of us with Kenner Star Wars toys in the 70's and 80's brought authenticity with it. He was a collector himself and even dealt with Star Wars figures in the 90's to pay some bills. Once we sent him a message at 1:30am asking to clarify the differences between the regular Black Series 6" Captain Rex figure and the Hascon version, his answer came back from his private account at 4am. Now that's dedication. Whoever follows next has big shoes to fill and we hope that Steve Evans' successor will maintain the excellent communication with the fan base. We also hope that his successor will not only bring a love for Star Wars with her or him, but also a deep appreciation for the Kenner Star Wars toy line from the 70's and 80's, which in our point of view is the foundation everything is built on.
THANK YOU, CONGRATULATIONS AND GOOD LUCK STEVE EVANS!

You can now find the Vintage Collection Stormtrooper (Mimban) VC123 figure in the database. Originally this figure was supposed to be available at Walmart stores in the United States but it hasn't been released yet. Our sample came from a seller in China, we'll keep you updated once we hear more about this figure from Hasbro and how it will be distributed in the U.S. Take a look at the figure here:
Here is a complete look at Hasbro's The Vintage Collection schedule all the way up to Fall 2019. There are six figures which still need to be revealed and we will likely see them at New York Toy Fair 2019. The future looks bright for fans of Kenner packaging and super articulated action figures, check it out:
We've received the press release from Hasbro including press images. Now we know that the Black Series 6" Mace Windu figure will be available in Spring 2019 in the main line. The Vintage Collection Poe Dameron figure will be released in the main line during Fall 2019.
Mace Windu is an all new figure and the figure's likeness is based on Star Wars: The Phantom Menace, have a look at the comparison images below. Even though the Vintage Collection 3 3/4" Poe Dameron figure is a re-release of the 3 3/4" Black Series figure, it will be updated with the new face printing technology. This release feels boring because the Walmart exclusive 3 3/4" Black Series figure has been peg warming for a long time but keep in mind that the Vintage Collection is just as much about the packaging as it is about the figure.
During Lucca Comic and Games in Italy Hasbro revealed new figures! The first one is The Vintage Collection Poe Dameron (re-release of the Black Series 3 3/4" figure) but now with photo real face deco and The Black Series 6" Mace Windu with soft-goods Jedi robe!
We'll post proper images of the figures once we get them, please check back!
Our friends at GuerreStellari.net reached out to let us know that they will be live streaming the Hasbro Star Wars panel from the Lucca Comics & Games festival from Italy today. We expect two new reveals from the convention, one for The Vintage Collection and one from The Black Series. The panel is at 16:00 UTC Italian time (+1 CET - Central European Time), which is 8am Pacific Standard Time (11am on the East Coast). You can watch the live stream on their Facebook page and make sure to check back here for the official press release and press photos.

Steve Evans, Design Director for Star Wars at Hasbro, revealed on his Instagram account that the just announced R2-D2 for the 3 3/4" Vintage Collection next year will be released on a classic ANH card.
We did some digging and it looks as if the R2-D2 figure itself will be a re-release of the Entertainment Earth exclusive Force Link 2.0 R2-D2 figure which is packed-in with C-3PO. You can get the set here: R2-D2 & C-3PO at Entertainment Earth. For more images of R2-D2 take a look at the database entry or scroll further down.
For a list of all 3 3/4" R2-D2 figures have a look in the database here: R2-D2 figures.

During their panel at MCM London Comic Con Hasbro revealed two new Star Wars figures for 2019! The 3 3/4" Vintage Collection will get R2-D2 and The Black Series 6" line will get an Episode I Battle Droid! Thanks to FanthaTracks.com for covering the panel! We'll upload the press images once we've received them, please stay tuned.
Steve Evan's confirmed through his Instagram account that the Chewbacca figure for The Vintage Collection 2019 will be a re-release and that it will be released with the first issued classic image on the card. As you all know, the Vintage Collection is just as much about the classic packaging as it is about the figures, and since Chewbacca hasn't been released in TVC yet, this is a welcome addition (the VOTC version from 2004 used the Return Of The Jedi logo).
The figure itself looks to be a re-release of the Black Series 3 3/4" Chewbacca figure from 2015.
So we can expect something similar to what was seen below. Picture credit to Chris Fawcett's 12back.com.
Here is a comparison image with our database entry for Chewbacca:
We've published a list which goes with our Toy Run podcast episode #132, where we talked about the 13 bloodiest and most battle damaged Star Wars figures from the past 40 years. So check out this fun list, click on the image and let us know if we've missed any figures!
Our friends over at FanthaTracks.com are covering MCM London Comic Con in detail and they published the first images of what Star Wars Resistance 3 3/4" action figures are going to look like in their packaging. We also get a good look at IG-88 and Luke Skywalker (X-Wing Pilot) from Hasbro's The Black Series Archive line for 2019.
We expect two new reveals on Sunday during Hasbro's panel, one for The Black Series 6" line and one for the 3 3/4" The Vintage Collection. We'll post the press images once we get them so stay tuned to J.B. for all the info, and make sure to follow our friends at FanthaTracks.com on social media!
Today the official Star Wars Show on YouTube featured a brief look at Hasbro's up-coming Star Wars Black Series Archive Collection, and the official Star Wars website published an article to go with it. If you've been reading JediBusiness.com, then you are familiar with almost everything mentioned in the article except for how many figures in total we'll see in the Black Series Archive line in 2019. Steve Evans, Design Director at Hasbro for Star Wars, had this to say:
Of the more than 160 Black Series figures already released or announced, Evans says the Archive line will be limited to a select few, with just seven being released in 2019. “We want to make sure that we only bring back the figures that are really wanted, really needed and will benefit from this,” he says.
Hereby Steve Evans confirmed to StarWars.com that we'll see a total of seven Black Series 6" figures released in the Black Series Archive line in 2019. This means we already know everything coming in the Black Series Archive series for all of 2019. The links will take you to the official press images:
We've added the Black Series 6" European Convention Exclusive Han Solo (Hoth) & Princess Leia (Hoth) 2-pack to the database. The 2-pack first debuted at Noris Force Con in Germany on Sept. 21st and will it will later be sold at MCM Comic Con London, Paris Comic Con and the Luca Comic & Games festival in Italy. A limited number of sets will be made available on November 6th, 2018 through HasbroToyShop.com. To learn more about each figure have a look here:
Black Series 6" Han Solo (Hoth)
Black Series 6" Princess Leia (Hoth)
We've added the Walgreens exclusive General Veers to the datase. The figure is part of the Black Series 6" line by Hasbro, to learn more about it have a look here:
You can now find the Black Series 6" Zuckuss from Hasbro in the database. In the United States this figure will be a Disney Store exclusive in early November. For more information about the figure have a look here:
We are five years into Hasbro's The Black Series 6" line and are very happy with the quality and the constant improvements made to the figures. We've seen the photo real face printing technology being added and we've just recently seen the first figures with an improved neck, which allows for a wider range of head movement. The quality of the figures is fantastic, they look great on display and the line is a ton of fun to collect.
Currently The Black Series is a mix of characters from all Star Wars entertainment without a dedicated sub-line to place an exclusive focus on current Star Wars media. Hasbro is trying to make everybody happy across the board by covering as much ground as possible by mixing in current media into the basic Black Series assortment. By doing that however, many of the side or even main characters (in different outfits) will not get produced or take a long time to make it onto collector's shelves.
So we are asking, do we need dedicated sub-lines for CURRENT Star Wars media?
Let's take a look at what Hasbro has released and what we still would love to see from recent movies:
Hasbro is making harder to find figures from The Black Series available again (we ran a story about it a few months ago) and two of the three are scheduled to ship this month! Entertainment Earth has them up, take a look:
Black Series Darth Revan (not mint, but cheaper!)
Black Series Captain Rex (single boxed version with photo real face printing technology)
Black Series Sabine Wren (from Star Wars: Rebels)
We've added Hasbro's 6" Princess Leia Organa (Bespin Escape) from The Black Series to the database. The figure is currently a Target exclusive in the United States, here is all the information about the figure:
We've added Hasbro's Black Series 6" Admiral Piett to the database. The figure is an online exclusive and can be purchased through online retailers Entertainment Earth, BigBadToyStore among others. For all the information about this figure have a look here:
The Black Series Admiral Piett
You can now find Han Solo (Bespin) from Hasbro's Black Series 6" toy line in the database. The figure is a re-release of the fantastic Han Solo (Exogorth) set from earlier in the year. Read all about it here:
The Black Series Han Solo (Bespin) #70
You can now find The Vintage Collection 3 3/4" Imperial Death Trooper in the database, check it out:
You can now find the TIE Fighter Pilot from The Vintage Collection in the database. The figure is packed-in together with a Tie Fighter vehicle exclusively at Walmart stores. To learn more about this set have a look here:
In an email to NBC News 10 this morning Hasbro announced organizational changes. It is unclear how many people will be out of a job soon, but it was mentioned that it will impact a single digit percentage of the company's global workforce.
"As part of Hasbro’s ongoing transformation we continue to make meaningful organizational changes. While some of these changes are difficult, we must ensure we have the right teams in place with the right capabilities to lead the company into the future. We continue to add new capabilities based on our understanding of the consumer and how our retailers are going to market, while evolving the way we organize our business across our Brand Blueprint."
In June, rival toy company Mattel laid off 2,200 workers.

Amazon has listed the single carded Force Link Emperor Palpatine 3 3/4" figure on their website. Even though this figure was available in a Target exclusive 3-pack in the U.S., and it was sold internationally single carded, it looks as if Amazon picked it up as an exclusive for the United States. Have a look at the listing, it will be sold and shipped by Amazon itself.
You can look at the single carded version in the database here and the Target 3-pack version can be found here.
Here is a look at all the announced Star Wars action figures from New York Comic Con 2018 for the Star Wars: Resistance, Star Wars The Black Series and Star Wars The Vintage Collection toy lines from Hasbro. The Star Wars: Resistance action figure line will be 3 3/4", The Black Series of course is in the 6" scale and The Vintage Collection are super articulated 3 3/4" action figures on vintage Kenner-style cards. Have a look, there is a lot of great stuff coming our way!
If you've purchased some Force Link 2.0 Star Wars figures in the past six months you might have come across a handful of figures which didn't work with the Force Link 2.0 bracelet. Today Hasbro fixed the issue with the smartphone update 2.4 for the Force Link 2.0 app. Now all Star Wars Force Link 2.0 figures work with the new technology. Following figures now work and have been updated in the database:
First Order Stormtrooper Officer
Poe Dameron (Entertainment Earth excl.)
First Order Snowtrooper (Entertainment Earth excl.)

Hasbro Star Wars Figure Reveal & Details ROUND-UP! Check it out!
I am writing this here sitting at the airport waiting to board my plane back to Seattle, if I miss anything feel free to leave a comment below and I'll update the list. So, here it goes:

Thank you to the Hasbro team for a fantastic weekend with lots of great reveals!
Here is another audio which we recorded at Hasbro's media event during New York Comic Con 2018. In the audio you will hear Steve Evans and Patrick Schneider talk about the Sail Barge and some Vintage Collection figures, have fun listening!
Here is the audio which we captured during Hasbro's media event on October 4, 2018 about Star Wars The Black Series 6" figures! Hasbro revealed the impressive General Grievous 6" and Tartakovsky Clone Wars Obi-Wan Kenobi action figures, along with three new entries into the Black Series archive line! Listen to Hasbro's Steve Evans and Patrick Schneider explain some of the figure details, availability, price points and the introduction of the Black Series XL line for Spring 2019!
Cnet.com introduced Hasbro's Star Wars: Resistance 3 3/4" action figure line yesterday, which was followed by an in-room presentation of the action figure line during a press only event during New York Comic Con 2018. The action figures on display included ten figures, six Star Wars figures which will be released single carded and four figures which will be released in two 2-packs. The single carded figures included Kazuda Xiono, Commander Pyre, Torra Doza, Synara San, Major Vonreg and a regular First Order Stormtrooper. The 2-packs will include Poe Dameron with BB-8 and Jarek Yeager with his droid.
The Star Wars: Resistance toy line was referred to by Hasbro as their "kiddie line" and that means less articulation (5POA). The figures are more colorful, brighter and the overall look is stylized to match the Star Wars: Resistance tv show, which is heavily influenced by anime. The toy line will come in its own packaging and will be available in Spring 2019. There were no vehicles announced, but the show is based around races, so we should see some vehicles in this toy line in the future.
You can listen to the audio of the announcement during the press event below.
Star Wars Resistance premieres this Sunday at 10 p.m. ET/PT on the Disney Channel. We'll update this article with press photos and photos from the event in the near future, please stay tuned.
We found out this morning during Hasbro's media event that this Sunday, during Hasbro's New York Comic 2018 panel, Hasbro will give us a rare behind-the-scenes look at the creation of The Vintage Collection Imperial Assault Tank! There are details hidden in the vehicle which you won't notice unless you take it apart, and of course we don't want to do that! Expect to go beyond the cup holder! We are looking forward to this and of course we'll report back here on J.B. about it, so stay tuned!
Hasbro invited select media outlets to a Hotel in Manhattan this morning to present new Star Wars toys. The presentation included Star Wars lightsaber fx products, new The Black Series 6" action figures, Star Wars Resistance 3 3/4" figures and never-before-seen packaged versions of some The Vintage Collection action figures. Here is what we have learned:
The Black Series 6" General Grievous figure will be released exclusively at Target stores in Spring 2019 for $29.99 in a new Black Series XL line. His arms come apart so that he can be displayed with all four arms stretched out. The back of the soft-goods robe didn't have the skull emblem on it, but this might change by the time it's released (they weren't sure if it's not on the cape because it was a prototype fabric).
The Black Series 6" General Kenobi in his Tartakovsky Clone Wars outfit will be released exclusively at Walgreens stores during Spring 2019.
Hasbro's Black Series 6" archive series will include a re-release of Anakin Skywalker from Episode 3, but this time with the new face printing technology. And just like the first release it will also include a second head sculpt. Yoda will also be re-released and it's the first creature in the Black Series 6" line to feature face printing technology (the very first creature to feature face print tech by the way is the Jabba The Hutt figure which comes with the Sail Barge, but that of course goes with 3 3/4" figures). The third figure shown was the Biker Scout, which is a straight re-release of the Biker Scout with Speeder Bike.
Hasbro also had Jabba's Sail Barge on display and pictures don't do it justice, it looks amazing in person. Expect more videos from Hasbro about its creation leading up to its release in February. They also revealed Princess Leia (in Boushh Disguise) on its card, together with Klaatu, Yakface and the Rogue One Scarif Stormtrooper. Klaatu looks outstanding on the card, especially because there is no warning on the front which gives the artwork more room to breath.
The Vintage Collection Gamorrean Guard will be re-released next year, the packaging and numbering will be identical to the previous release.
A big surprise was the reveal of Star Wars Resistance action figures in the 3 3/4" line which will be available in Spring 2019. It's going to be its on dedicated line with its own packaging. No vehicles were shown.
We'd like to say thank you to Hasbro for inviting us to the event and stay tuned for more coverage from New York Comic Con this weekend! Now make sure to check out the photo gallery (we'll be updating it over the coming days).
JediBusiness.com will be at New York Comic Con 2018! Our coverage will begin in the afternoon on Thursday, October 4th, 2018. We do expect to see Star Wars action figures for Spring 2019, and we are hoping to get a glimpse at Star Wars Resistance action figures as well (pure speculation on our part). We should also get answers about the future of Force Link, The Black Series and The Vintage Collection! So stay tuned for more!

Chinese online retailer Robotkingdom is currently taking pre-orders for a brand new Hasbro Black Series 6" multipack. The set includes Princess Leia Organa (Hoth Outfit) and Han Solo (Echo Base Gear). Princess Leia appears to be a re-release of the basic, and still up-coming, single boxed Black Series Princess Leia figure while Han Solo looks to be new.
Even though Hasbro has released a Han Solo (Hoth Outfit) figure before in the Black Series line together with a TaunTaun, this new version has a new head (it may utilizes the new face printing technology), different jacket, different paint application and it has a scarf and fur around the collar.
This set is likely the European/German Noris Force Con exclusive set which was hinted at by the organizers of the convention early in the Summer. Hasbro mentioned that there will be an exclusive European convention set as well, and that it will make it's way to the United States eventually. Unfortunately we don't have any other details to share at this time.
British retailer ForbiddenPlanet.com has revealed new information about the up-coming Black Series 6" Dengar and Imperial Patrol Trooper figures. The organizers of the Noris Force Con in Germany have announced that there will be three Hasbro convention exclusives available at their event. So far two of the three have been announced while the third exclusive is going to be announced in the near future.
The first exclusive is the Doctor Aphra Comic Set 3-Pack which was available at San Diego Comic Con in the United States. This time however the packaging will look quite different with several different languages on the front of the box. The figures will be the same however, a price has not been announced yet.
The second exclusive will be the Han Solo Exogorth Escape set, which was also previously available at San Diego Comic Con in the United States. The packaging looks identical but the back will likely be updated in multiple different languages. A price has not been announced yet.
Exclusives will only be sold at the show and will not be available online afterwards. Even though those figures are exclusive to the convention in Germany, there is a good chance that they will be available at other conventions in Europe over the coming months. Hasbro will have two representatives at the show holding a panel and a Q&A with attendees about their Star Wars toy line. Noris Force Con will be held from September 21 - 23rd 2018 in Fürth, Germany. You can follow Noris Force Con on Facebook for more information.
You can now find Hasbro's 3.75" Vintage Collection Doctor Aphra, 0-0-0 and BT-1 in the database.

The Vintage Collection 3.75"
In 2019 Hasbro will use their Photo Real face printing technology on The Vintage Collection figures. This is exciting news and means much more accurate faces and good-bye bad paint apps! Hasbro has confirmed some new figures for 2019 and how many per months they'll release. The current release schedule for The Vintage Collection looks like this:
During the Hasbro San Diego Comic Con panel today, it was revealed that two new playsets for 3.75" figures will be released in the Fall of 2018. Both playsets will have graphics on the front and back so that it can be rotated 360 degrees. Hasbro mentioned that each playset will cost below $50. The Kessel Mine playset will be sold exclusively at Walmart stores and it will include a Han Solo action figure (the figure looks to be the same as the one which is packed-in with the Kessel Run Millennium Falcon) Here is a look at the cardboard backdrops and the graphics on it, take a look below.

This detailed CHEWBACCA figure is lavishly furry and makes true-to-entertainment sounds when activated, while the PORG figures feature soft flocking that makes them a delight to hold and feel. The package carefully recreates the cockpit of the Millennium Falcon, making it perfect for display, and is sure to delight collectors and fans alike. Our friends at Fantha Tracks have learned that Hasbro's version of Han Solo's M-68 landspeeder is a copy of an art department concept design by Neil Ellis and not a copy of the actual model used in Solo: A Star Wars Story! Neil Ellis is a concept model maker and costume FX prop maker working for Lucasfilm. You can follow him on his Instagram account and make sure to check out the entire story at Fantha Tracks!
X-Wing Fighter pilot C'ai Threnalli, who could be seen in Star Wars: The Last Jedi sitting next to Poe Dameron, was supposed to be released in the final wave of The Last Jedi action figures. Unfortunately the entire wave was cancelled in the United States and for a long time it looked as if the figure would never be released here. Luckily Entertainment Earth managed to secure the exclusive rights to sell the figure in the United States and just a few weeks ago it finally shipped out. If you'd like to learn more about the figure take a look at our usual database entry. If you want to get the figure, Entertainement Earth has it still in stock.

Steve Evans, Design Director at Hasbro, has answered some fan questions on the Hasbro Pulse Instagram account. Back in April we asked all those questions and we are glad that the team at Hasbro listens to the fan community and keeps improving their Star Wars action figure line based on fan feedback. Thank you!
You can watch the video below, read our improvement suggestions with images, or follow Hasbro Pulse on Instagram (-> we are on Instagram too by the way, please follow).
We've published statistics for The Black Series 6" line, The Black Series 3.75" line, The Rogue One 3.75" Collection, The Last Jedi 3.75" Collection and the SOLO: A Star Wars Story 3.75" Collection! In the stats you can see where Hasbro's focus was, how many figures did they release in total? How many were exclusives? What stores sold exclusive figures? How many figures were released based on a certain movie and how much did it cost do purchase one of each figure?
You can find those stats with each toy line section, just pull up the page and scroll towards the bottom. We'll be rolling out more stats for other toy lines over the coming months, please stay tuned and have fun comparing toy line stats!

Here are new images of the up-coming Imperial Assault Tank from Hasbro's The Vintage Collection. The vehicle will be available in August and cost $79.99. You can pre-order it on Entertainment Earth including free shipping! Check out the images below:
Io9.com revealed Hasbro's 3.75" The Vintage Collection 3-pack this morning. The set includes three Star Wars figures from the new expanded universe with fan favorite Dr. Aphra (she will also be released single carded), 0-0-0 the protocol droid, and BT-1. The set will cost a whopping $50 (we are not kidding!) and will exclusively be sold at San Diego Comic Con 2018. A limited number of sets will be made available through HasbroToyShop.com after the show, but those typically sell out in a matter of minutes. You can read the entire story on Io9.com
A few weeks ago an image made the rounds online of a The Last Jedi multipack in SOLO: A Star Wars Story toy line packaging. The special about this set was the included holographic Maz Kanata figure.
We've tracked this set down (thanks Jon!) and added all five figures from this set into the database. At this time we don't know yet how Hasbro will distribute this set in the United States. To learn more about this 5-pack and about each figure have a look at the database entries:
You can now find figure information, photo galleries and voice samples of following figures in the database:
Force Link 2.0 Princess Leia Organa (Hoth Outfit)
Force Link 2.0 Supreme Leader Snoke
We've also added the currently international exclusive Black Series 6" Stormtrooper with blast accessories to the database:
Fans of Hasbro's The Black Series 6" line have been asking for display stands for quite some time and we are happy to report that the wait is over. We don't know how Hasbro will distribute those display stands yet, but we are hopeful that future single packed figures will include them and maybe they will make them available in bulk, so people with larger collections can pick them up easier.
The display stand is 4 1/2" long, 2" deep and 0.5" high and it has two pegs, one on each side. It's long enough to give figures in dynamic poses room and stability. The middle piece, which says Star Wars on it, can be flipped around. This then turns the stand into a floor panel which looks cool. Multiple display stands can be hooked into each other on one side, so you can have an entire row of figures stand next to each other.
Have a look at the images below!

After going through the painful 1+ hour Force Link 2.0 app update and several connection issues between the gauntlet and the app on an iPhone 7 Plus (with a great WiFi connection), we finally got the app to work. We've updated every Star Wars figure in the Solo: A Star Wars Story / Force Link 2.0 toy line with voice samples. Here is what we have learned and experienced:
So far we don't see the magic between Force Link 1.0 and 2.0 except that you can update it through Bluetooth. The app is still not ready for prime time yet. When was the last time you've spent $30+ for an item you thought you could use right away, then had to wait about two weeks, then installed the app on your phone (which took one hour) and then still didn't work 100%? The figures still have five or six different lines (in some cases apparently less), so the functionality is the same when compared to Force Link 1.0 and we didn't notice any changes in voice quality or an increase in phrases per figure. Force Link 2.0 has a lot of potential and we love how cool it is when it works well (Lando!), but we have to scratch our head when we have a Luke Skywalker in Hoth Outfit who only speaks lines from different scenes in the movie. Let's keep our fingers crossed and hope for a quick and frustration free update to the app in the coming days and a more thoughtful approach as to what lines the figures should speak (and having original voices from the movies should really be a given).
Share your experience below, we'd love to hear about it!
You can now find the Hasbro Force Link 2.0 Chewbacca figure variation in the database. The first release of Chewbacca had no details on the back of the bandolier and a slightly but noticeably different paint application. You can spot the difference through the packaging, just look at the figure from the side and see if you can make out the sculpted details or not. Have a look at the pictures below and check out the full database entry here:
We've reveived several reports of collectors finding the Black Series Porgs at Target stores for $5.99 each. If you are still looking for them a trip to your local Target store might be worth it. They've also put out a nice display box which is sitting right in the middle of all the Star Wars toys.
Happy Hunting!
Hasbro has finally released an update for their Force Link 2.0 app via the iTunes app store. Now all your Force Link 2.0 enabled Star Wars figures can talk! We'll be updating the database with all the voice samples over the coming days, please stay tuned.

Hasbro has left many fans who purchased the Force Link 2.0 Starter Set, which includes the Force Link 2.0 arm wrist band, disappointed because it only works properly in combination with an app. This app however is not available for download in Apple's app store.
Hasbro has updated their app page to let Force Link 2.0 users who have iPhones know that the app will finally be available on or before May 1st, 2018. Android users can already use it, but again only with limited functionality.
From Hasbro's website: "We’re working hard to fix this so that you have the best experience possible. Thanks for your patience."
We'll be updating our figure database entries once the Force Link wrist band will work properly.

Whaddayaknow!? Italien collectors had the opportunity to add a truly unique item to their collections. Last year when Star Wars: The Last Jedi was released in movie theaters Lucasfilm released a box set exclusively at Amazon Italy, which included two tickets to the movie, a BB-8 colored USB cable, a BB-8 colored charging cable for the car, BB-8 colored headphones and a Hasbro 3.75" Han Solo action figure! This set was numbered by hand and limited to only 500 pieces.
JediBusiness.com had the opportunity today to join a part of Hasbro's Star Wars team on a Google Hangout chat. Unfortunately we can't provide the audio or the video, but we have a summary of the conversation with new information about HasLab and Hasbro's Sail Barge below. Hasbro has answered some fan questions on Instagram on their HasbroPulse account. Here is the summary:
Q: Why is there a 5-piece maxiumum limit to purchase?
A: The 5-piece limit is per-transaction. Note, that there is no limit on the number of transactions you can make.
Q: Is there any assembly required?
A: The main hull will come fully assembled. A few components require assembly including the sails, cannons, fins & additional pars based on the provided instructions.
Q: Why do we need 5,000 backers?
A: Because this item is the largest HASBRO Star Wars item ever created & the ultimate dream item for the inspired Star Wars fan, this is the absolute minimum quantity needed to cover the various operating elements needed to bring this massive & ambitious product to life.
Q: What do I do if my credit card or Paypal payment was returned?
A: Nothing! This is most likely the credit authorization expiring as part of a normal credit payment cycle. Your preferred payment method will only be charged if we reach the minimum number of backers by April 3rd, 2018. If you have any questions, please contact us at 1-800-408-0052.
Q: Is the product design final?
A: What you've seen so far is just the in-progress designs, but it is close to final in terms of the actual structure. The final item will be fully painted & will also include highly detailed accessories. We've been hard at work to make sure no detail is missed in the development of this intricate item & are excited to share more with you soon!
Q: Will HasLab products be available in stores in the U.S. and Canada afater the minimum 5,000 backers is met?
A: No. Jabba's Sail Barge will only be available through the HasLab program in the U.S. and Canada.
Q: Is shipping included in the $499 + tax price for both the U.S. and Canada?
A: Yes
Q: How big is the packaging & how much does it weigh?
A: Box size: 14"D x 50"W x 15"H, shipping carton: 15"D x 51"W x 16"H, weight: 15lbs
Q: Why HasLab? Why can't Hasbro just make this and sell at retail?
A: HasLab is a completely new way of engaging the fan community that gives Hasbro an opportunity to potentially bring extravagantly awesome dream toys to life. Because of the size of the item & quantities involved, it is not suited to Hasbro's standard retail distribution model.
You can back the barge on the official HasbroLab.com website!
We've just had the opportunity to compare the Black Series 6" 40th Anniversary Death Squad Commander figure to the single boxed regular release. Both figures have different heads, the first one was painted, the new one features Hasbro's photo real technology where the paint is printed onto the figure.
The new Death Squad Commander looks phenomenal in person, the eye doesn't catch the pixely print, the camera however does. As you can see, by printing the paint onto the figure it's possible to include more colors instead of just a single brush stroke (look at the eye brows). Below are some comparion pictures of both figures, have a look!
You can now find all eight figures from Hasbro's Era Of The Force 8-Pack in the database. The multipack was exclusive to Target stores and consisted of previously released figures. None of the figures are force link enabled, but Hasbro included display stands with them. Check 'em out:

Could we see those two figures on store shelves soon? We'll ask Hasbro on Friday, stay tuned to JediBusiness.com for all the info!

JediBusiness.com will sit down with members of the Hasbro Star Wars brand team during San Diego Comic Con 2017 and ask them your questions about their Star Wars action figure toy lines.
A couple of things:
Getting the chance to interview Hasbro team members is a privilege, not a right. Hasbro is a big company which had sales topping 5 billion last year, and the company has been around for 94 years. We pass the privilege to interview team members to you, the fan. We are your voice directly to the people who make Star Wars action figures. When you post questions please be civil and friendly.
- Please don't ask about distribution (we have been asking about distribution several times per year since 2011, and whatever their business model is for distributing the way they do, it's just what it is at this point)
- Jedi Master Luke Skywalker from TFA has been confirmed to JediBusiness.com by Steve Evans in our interview on Toy Run - Episode 16, so that figure is coming in the 6" and 3.75" scales
- Don't ask about PlaySkool figures and toys, that's a different department (and we don't cover that line on J.B.)
- We can't guarantee that all questions will be asked (there is a time limit for the interview)
- We will release a transcript of the interview after the convention, and the audio will be made available on Toy Run - The Star Wars Action Figure Cast
- We will collect questions through Friday, July 14th 2017

Lucasfilm has released the first short standalone episode of Forces Of Destiny called "The Sands Of Jakku", you can watch the episode below. The action figures to go along with the TV show are no where to be found and we've noticed that Amazon has Forces Of Destiny products listed with an August 1st street date (previously July 1st).
J.B. reader Wayne Eggert has shared some images with us of variations he's found in figures from Hasbro's 6" 40th Anniversary Collection.
From Wayne:
I thought I would share the variations in the new sandpeople figures. In addition to the color difference on the heads, the pouches on the dark head version are painted a flat reddish brown while the pouches on the other are unpainted glossy light brown. The dark head seems to have been produced over many waves and the lighter head on possibly the last lot only. I've seen several of each, but all the light heads have been from the same lot (70961) where there are a wide range of lots on the dark head.
Similarly, the flat reddish brown pouches have been only on the Sand People with dark heads while the light brown have been exclusive to the lighter head version. This could be because of a mixed production since all the pictures I've seen of the main run Black Series Raider have all had light heads. If it goes back to dark heads in a later run, this could wind up being the rarest 40th anniversary figure.
You can now find Hasbro's 6" 40th Anniversary Collection CHEWBACCA in the database. Get all the information about the figure here:
You can now find Hasbro's 6" 40th Anniversary Collection Tusken Raider in the database. The figure is identical to the regularly released Tusken Raider, except for the packaging and date imprints on the bottom of the feet. Check it out:

ThinkGeek doesn't have a lot of stores across the country yet, but if you are lucky to live close to one make sure to stop by!
We've added all five Hasbro 3.75" Star Wars action figures from the 40th Anniversary Titanium Series to the database. Here is a complete write-up about all five figures, the price, the accessories, the display stands and more, check it out:

Yakface.com published a list of product skus this morning, and listed were the official street dates and retail prices for Forces Of Destiny action figures. The figures, which were first shown during several panels at Star Wars Celebration Orlando 2017 (take a look at the Hasbro panel photo gallery), will be on store shelves on July 1st, 2017.
The first wave includes three figures, Rey, Jyn Erso and Sabine Wren. Each figure will cost $19.99. The second wave of figures is expected to be available on store shelves on Force Friday II, which is held on September 1, 2017. The figures available on September 1st will be Rey with BB-8 ($24.99), Princess Leia (Hoth) with R2-D2 ($24.99) and Princess Leia (Endor Gear) with Wicket and an extra set of clothing ($34.99).
The Forces Of Destiny toy line will support the Lucasfilm short films, which will be released during this Summer.
There is a rumor floating around in the collecting community which indicates that Hasbro might bring back an updated version of the Episode I CommTech chip for The Last Jedi toy line. The rumor, which appeared to have originated on Rebelscum.com, indicates that each Star Wars figure in The Last Jedi basic assortment will include a Force Link Bracelet which enables the figures to talk to each other.
If this rumor turns out to be true, it'll be interesting to see how much the technology has improved since 1999. We expect more information about this to come out during San Diego Comic Con 2017, which is held in July. The Last Jedi action figures go officially on sale on September 1, 2017.
Entertainment Earth to the rescue! The company has added new Hasbro 6" Black Series figures to their website. All the figures are currently available for pre-order at regular prices, take a look:

You can now find Hasbro's The Black Series 6" Lando Calrissian in the database. For all the information about the figure have a look here:
Let's take a look at Hasbro's The Black Series 6" figures on the secondary market. Most Black Series 6" figures can be had for regular retail price even years after their release, but there are some figures which have increased in value gradually.
Currently the top spot goes to the Boba Fett/Han Solo in Carbonite 2-pack which was a San Diego Comic Con exclusive in 2013. The demand for some of those figures is pretty amazing, even bootleg versions seem to be making quite a bit of money on the secondary market (Darth Maul!).
Many of the figures listed below have doubled in value, if not more, check it out:
1) Boba Fett / Han Solo in Carbonite
2) Luke Skywalker (X-Wing Pilot), 1st release and 40th Anniversary Collection
4) Darth Maul
5) Imperial Shadow Squadron 2-pack
6) Bossk
7) R2-D2 (first release and 40th Anniversary Collection)
8) Yoda
9) IG-88
10) Luke Skywalker (Jedi Knight)

Modern Star Wars action figure photography on the website again. What is your favorite toy line by Hasbro for the 3.75" figures? Is it The Power Of The Force 2 because it kick-started the modern line? Is it The Legacy Collection because it came with build a droid parts? Maybe Power Of The Jedi because it was a fairly small line with lots of new sculpts? Or how about The Clone Wars animated-style line or The Vintage Collection? Let us know in the comments!
Here is an overview of all the toy lines!

Hasbro's 3.75" The Vintage Collection will be back one year from now, right before the new Han Solo movie will be released in movie theaters. We know that The Vintage Collection will be available at all regular retailers, but we don't know yet if Hasbro will treat it as a main or subline. Will it replace the 5POA or the VS. 2-Packs? Will the Han Solo movie have its own dedicated toy line or will it flow into The Vintage Collection? For how long will those figures come back? Will distribution improve compared to the disastrous 2011 - 2013 time period (remember, those figures were tough to find)? What about vehicles?
You can now find Hasbro's 6" 40th Anniversary Collection Darth Vader (Legacy Pack) in the database. The figure comes single carded, but packed-in together with a cardboard backdrop which pays homage to Kenner's Early Bird Kit from 1977 and Kenner's second mail-away, the Star Wars Action Stand from 1978. It's time for a rant! You all love rants, don't you?
It's not everyday that you come across an article on a major publication such as Forbes.com, where the author criticizes Hasbro and their approach to the Star Wars action figure line. The article, which headline reads "Hasbro Looks To Win Collectors Back", is filled with assumptions and no data to back it up. It's astounding to read such harsh criticism of Hasbro and how they've been treating the Star Wars action figure line. Here are some of excerpts:
Disney/Lucasfilm and Hasbro announced the next fans' choice winner of the fan vote from this past week. The character who won is Dr. Aphra, which is a new character in the expanded Star Wars universe featured in the Marvel comic books.
About the character:
Chelli Lona Aphra was a human female archaeologist who was recruited by Darth Vader after the Battle of Yavin. Aphra, along with her two assassin droid companions, 0-0-0 (Triple-Zero) and BT-1 (Beetee), fulfilled several missions for Darth Vader before falling out of his favor.
Look for Dr. Aphra in the Vintage Collection 3.75" line by Hasbro towards the end of 2018.
We'd like to say thank you to Hasbro for sending us a nice surprise for May The Fourth 2017! The nicely designed package included a Bladebuilder set and a postcard which features Star Wars action figures of Hasbro's 40th Anniversary Darth Vader and Obi-Wan (Ben) Kenobi (photographed by WorkMoreOrLess). Thanks Hasbro!
Entertainment Earth is now taking pre-orders for the highly anticipated wave 2 of Hasbro's 40th Anniversary Collection 6" action figures! The case includes a total of 8 figures:

2 x Jawa

It's pretty apparent that people participating in Hasbro's fan poll, or at least very dedicated Hasbro Star Wars action figure fans, are upset with the current fan poll on StarWars.com.
Today is the last day to vote on StarWars.com for Hasbro's next 3.75" Star Wars action figure in the Vintage Collection II. Currently it looks as if Dr. Aphra is going to win, Ahsoka Tano from Star Wars Rebels is in second place, Emperor Palpatine and ARC Trooper Fives share the 3rd spot and Yakface and Sim Aloo are occupying the bottom two spots. The winner will be officially announced on May The 4th on StarWars.com.
Here is a fun one! We haven't seen a Star Wars action figure TV commercial by Hasbro in quite some time, check this out:
Here is another live broadcast where we walked through the entire Hasbro booth once more showcasing all the new Star Wars action figures which were on display.
Fellow Star Wars action figure collector Mark Schroeder found wave 2 of Hasbro's 6" 40th Anniversary Star Wars figures at his local Walmart in Washington State. The figures included in the second wave are the Jawa, Tusken Raider, Death Squad Commander, Chewbacca, Stormtrooper and C-3PO.
Happy Hunting!
If you've been following JediBusiness.com for a while you know that we've collected fans' votes several days ago for Hasbro's next 3.75" Star Wars action figure, which will be released in the Vintage Collection in 2018. We handed our results to Hasbro several days ago, they tallied all the results from participating fan sites and came up with this list:
Dr. Aphra
Yakface
Sim Aloo
Ahoska Tano
ARC Trooper Fives
Emperor Palpatine
This list is a big head-scratcher. J.B. reader Brian Borg sent following graphic to us, it's an accumulation of all participating fan sites and their results. The bottom has the finalists listed, take a look:
So what happened here?
Hasbro's Star Wars panel during Star Wars Celebration Orlando 2017 was one of the better Hasbro Star Wars panels in recent history. The Hasbro team celebrated 40 years of Star Wars action figures by taking a look at many never-before-seen concept sketches from the mid 1980's and they revealed many design decisions and thought processes for up-coming Star Wars action figures. The panel ended with the reveal of the return of the 3.75" The Vintage Collection in Spring 2018 and the fan vote campaign.
If you are worried about finding the last wave of Hasbro's Rogue One figures on store shelves you might want to consider ordering them online. There are several Ebay sellers who have them in stock now, take a look: Rogue One Wave 4
Hasbro gave you the chance to vote for a character which you'd like to see made next as a 3.75" super articulated Star Wars figure in the up-coming The Vintage Collection 2 in 2018. Below are the results which we'll pass on to Hasbro. Voting will continue on StarWars.com, more details about that soon!
Every person had to type the name of the charcter they wanted to see made into the comments, this helped eliminate multiple "up-votes" on different characters and made it easy to spot multiple entries by the same person.
Ben Skywalker
Luke Skywalker (from The Force Awakens)
Dr. Aphra
Tonnika Sisters
Dash Rendar
Pong Krell
Thank you to everybody who participated, may the Force be with you!
Hasbro has reached out to let us know that the Black Series Tarkin 6" figure with Interrorgation Droid will be released in Spring 2018. The figure will cost $19.99.
During Star Wars Celebration Orlando we stopped by the Hasbro booth several times to get new information about their up-coming Star Wars action figure lines. You can read all the info gathered, combined with the announcements during the Hasbro panel in this article.
CHOOSE WHICH CHARACTER JOINS THE VINTAGE COLLECTION IN HASBRO'S STAR WARS FAN FIGURE VOTE, LAUNCHING TODAY!
As revealed today at Hasbro’s Star Wars Celebration Orlando panel, the 3.75-inch Vintage Collection is back in 2018. And they want you to decide which character will be next to join the fan-favorite line!
Kicking off today is Hasbro’s Star Wars Fan Figure Vote, where you’ll get to vote for your favorite hero, villain, droid, or alien that has yet to be made into an action figure. It could be anyone — from Doctor Aphra of Marvel’s comics to Klik-Klak from Star Wars Rebels. (And remember, the world still needs a Tonnika action figure!)
First-round voting in Hasbro’s initiative will take place at Star Wars fan sites from today, April 15-April 19; after voting closes, the top picks from each site will be entrants in a final poll at StarWars.com, which will run from April 26-30. The winner will be announced at a later date.
TYPE THE NAME OF THE CHARACTER YOU WANT TO BE MADE INTO A 3.75" SUPER ARTICULATED STAR WARS FIGURE INTO THE COMMENTS. LIKES WILL NOT BE COUNTED.
ONE VOTE ONLY.
Join us as we take a look at Hasbro's booth at Star Wars Celebration Orlando 2017:
Yahoo! Movies has revealed Hasbro's The Black Series 6" Luke Skywalker with Landspeeder. The set will be available this Fall and retail for $59.99.
IO9.com exclusively announced Hasbro's 6" Black Series Rey with Rey's Speeder this morning.
The Speeder features two opening panels to see the inner detailing of the craft itself, and nine points of articulation—including the base (sculpted to make it look like the Speeder displacing dust and air as it floats) that can let you pose and tilt the vehicle.
ReedPop has released information about how to get the exclusive Hasbro 40th Anniversary Collection 6" Luke Skywalker (X-Wing Pilot) figure, and it isn't pretty. In order to purchase a Hasbro Exclusive on Thursday and Friday, a limited number of tickets will be given out.
There will be a special morning queue for those who want to receive a Hasbro Exclusive ticket in the morning. Please look for Queue 10 and the sign that says “Tickets to Purchase items from HasbroToyshop”.
Tickets for the Hasbro Exclusive will begin to be given out at approximately 6:00 AM on Thursday and Friday. After receiving a ticket for the Hasbro Exclusive, fans can join the regular Celebration Experience Exhibition Hall Chutes.
You cannot get into the Hasbro line to purchase anything at their booth without a ticket on Thursday or Friday, regardless if what you’re purchasing is the Hasbro Exclusive or not. On Thursday and Friday the only fans that can shop in the Hasbro booth are those with tickets.
On Saturday and Sunday, tickets will not be required to shop at the Hasbro booth.
Not sure why Hasbro thought this is a fair way to distribute those figures, especially with two major panels happening on Thursday and Friday morning with thousands of people expected to camp out over night.
Also, what else will Hasbro offer for sale? Maybe the first wave of 6" 40th Anniversary Collection figures? Will we see wave 4 of 3.75" Rogue One figures? Stay tuned to JediBusiness.com for updates!
