Star Wars Epic Hero Series For Children

Hasbro's new 3 3/4" Star Wars Epic Hero Series action figure line for children leaked a few weeks ago, and after reaching out to Hasbro's PR company to learn more about it, we were told that there was "nothing to share at this moment". Entertainment Earth and Amazon however have begun to take pre-orders for this new action figure line and by looking at the case assortment at Entertainment Earth we've learned that this entirely new line of Star Wars figures is expected to launch in January 2024 with following characters:

  • Ahsoka Tano
  • Luke Skywalker
  • The Mandalorian
  • Grogu
  • Darth Vader
  • Stormtrooper
  • Paz Vizsla (Deluxe)
  • Sabine Wren (Deluxe)

Single carded figures hover around $10 while the deluxe versions with more accessories cost around $13 to $15 each (depending on where you shop, Amazon is currently more expensive than EE). This toy line isn't entertainment specific, it's a mix of characters on a yellow/white cardback without having movie or tv titles listed on the packaging.

The figures are made with less detailed sculpting sensibilities, less articulation, less painted details and bigger accessories than characters in the Vintage Collection. Most importantly the figures are cheaper at roughly $10 each (compared to $16.99 for TVC figures) and with less points of articulation they'll be more durable for kids to play with. The description listed on Entertainment Earth also hints at vehicles in this line: "Look for even more figures and vehicles to collect across Hasbro's Epic Hero Series world of play, featuring kid-favorite characters and entertainment-inspired design."

We'll be following this line of figures closely and it's great to see that Hasbro aims to bring younglings into playing with the 3 3/4" scale while making them affordable for parents.
