Hasbro's press release arrived here this morning (a good 20 minutes after pre-orders had already gone live for some of the figures mentioned in the press release), and in it were images of the up-coming Aurra Sing figure from the 3 3/4" Star Wars: The Vintage Collection.
During the presentation at MCM London Comic Con 2024 it was mentioned that the figure from 2012 would be re-released in 2025, and that it would be updated with the photo real print for a better looking portrait. The cardback would also be changed from the previous release with a different character picture. What Hasbro failed to mention however is that some of the original accessories would simply be omitted from the package, like the case which could hold three included lightsaber hilts.
Upon closer inspection it was also clear that Hasbro is trying to save money when it comes to paint, especially when looking at the included weapons. Have a look below for a direct comparison between the 2012 Aurra Sing accessories and the ones which will be included with the 2025 release. Needless to say, this is disheartening, especially when you see that Hasbro added more value in the packaging 12, 13 years ago for this figure.
