Hasbro Increases Prices For TVC And Black Series (Again)

Hasbro has unveiled its 2025 Holiday Lookbook, showcasing an impressive lineup of toys and collectibles across beloved brands like TRANSFORMERS, MONOPOLY, DUNGEONS & DRAGONS, MAGIC: THE GATHERING, PEPPA PIG, PLAY-DOH and more, including releases from STAR WARS and MARVEL. While the curated list and variety of toys are worth celebrating, many Star Wars action figure collectors are taking note of the prices listed for the Black Series and The Vintage Collection.

The Black Series 6-inch figures now carry a $27.99 price tag (up from $24.99), two-packs like the Anakin Skywalker & Captain Rex set have climbed to $51.99 from $44.99, and even core 3.75-inch Vintage Collection figures are now $19.99, up from $16.99. Especially the 3 3/4" line raises questions, because this is a price increase of 100% since the inception of the line in 2010.  It’s an exciting time to be a collector, but it also raises an important question: how much higher can prices go before collectors throw in the towel? Will enthusiasm for completing every wave endure, or is this the turning point in the hobby?

This year's TVC convention Fall exclusive Jedi Force Ghost 3-pack was officially announced with an msrp of $49.99, it now jumped to $57.99. It's unclear how much the Black Series Fall convention exclusive will increase in price currently.
