Droid Factory Friday 2026 - The Next Droid Revealed And Schedule Update!

DisneyStore.com has revealed the next droid in their Build-A-Droid Series #1 for 2026! DD-BD, which will be the fourth droid in the series, will go on pre-order on April 3rd at 8am PT on DisneyStore.com! 

DD-BD is the battered mining droid seen in Solo: A Star Wars Story who directly ignites the droid uprising on Kessel, acting on the ideals of droid freedom inspired by L3-37.

There was also a name change for two of the previously announced droids. On the DisneyStore.com website CW-24 from The Mandalorian is now called CU-28 and Q2-K2 from the Clone Wars is now called QT-KT.

Here is the updated release schedule: 

• R5-K6 inspired by A New Hope: January 2 at 8am PT (sold out online)
• CU-28 inspired by The Mandalorian: February 6 at 8AM PT
• QT-KT inspired by The Clone Wars: March 6 at 8AM PT
• DD-BD inspired by SOLO: April 3rd at 8am PT
• ?? inspired by ??: May 1 at 8am PT
• ?? inspired by ??: June 5 at 8am PT
