Black Series Blunders: Tracking Hasbro’s Packaging & Numbering Mistakes

1/20/2026 The Black Series

While working on the latest Black Series Boba Fett entry for GalacticFigures.com and stitching together the packaging mural, we were reminded of a notable packaging error involving Luke Skywalker from The Book of Boba Fett, whose figure was assigned the wrong number. Combined with the recent reveal of Watto being released in incorrect Attack of the Clones packaging, we thought, oh, another one!

With that in mind, we decided to start tracking known packaging errors across Hasbro’s Black Series line. Below is a list of issues we have identified so far.

  • Luke Skywalker - misspelled name on the packaging as Luke Skywalkwer
  • Luke Skywalker (The Book of Boba Fett) – Marked as #07 on the packaging (the same number as the Pyke Trooper) but should have been #03.
  • Vel Sartha (Andor) – Incorrectly marked as #08, which belongs to Cassian Andor; her correct number should be #09.
  • Night Trooper (Ahsoka) – Should have been #18 but was labeled #17, a number already assigned to Anakin Skywalker.
  • Ezra Bridger (Ahsoka) – A carryover error from the Night Trooper issue; marked as #18 when he should have been #19.
  • Watto (The Phantom Menace) – Packaged on Attack of the Clones–branded card art instead of Episode I packaging.

This list may be updated in the future, depending on whether additional packaging errors surface. As always, that ultimately depends on Hasbro and and how carefully future releases are handled.
