The event took place at SECOND in Manhattan and offered attendees an up-close preview of upcoming toys, collectibles, and other highly anticipated releases. For us, and you, our focus was of course on Hasbro's Vintage Collection and Black Series 6" line. With 2026 shaping up to be a major year for Star Wars, the “Most Wanted” Spring Preview set the stage for what collectors can expect in the months ahead leading up to The Mandalorian & Grogu movie release in theaters.

One of the highlights of the evening was Jon Favreau making an appearance in front of the intimate crowd gathered for the preview. During his remarks, he reflected on Star Wars’ deep-rooted connection to toys, recalling the excitement surrounding Kenner’s toy vouchers during the holiday season following the 1977 release of Star Wars: A New Hope, when the franchise first exploded into pop culture. Favreau also noted that sharp-eyed fans may recognize subtle nods to vintage toys in this summer’s The Mandalorian and Grogu.
"As a collector of Star Wars toys myself since early childhood, I understand what an important storytelling extension they can be," says the filmmaker. "For many fans my age, the toys were how we lived in the Star Wars galaxy between film releases. It’s an honor to continue that tradition with The Mandalorian and Grogu."
