Han Solo's Landspeeder

6/10/2026

Released on April 13, 2018, Han Solo's M-68 Landspeeder gave fans a dedicated vehicle from Solo: A Star Wars Story and included an exclusive Han Solo (Corellia) action figure. Priced at $29.99 as part of the mainline Solo toy assortment, this set offered a nicely detailed 3.75-inch compatible version of Han Solo's landspeeder, based on concept design work for the vehicle rather than an exact recreation of the version seen on screen.

Packaging

The packaging for Han Solo's M-68 Landspeeder reflected the bright yellow branding used for the Solo: A Star Wars Story toy line in 2018. The front of the box showed the landspeeder in an action sequence, with a plastic window next to it gving you a look at the included Han Solo (Corellia) figure. The back of the box went into more detail about the vehicle, the included figure, and the Force Link 2.0 functionality.

Assembly

There was very little assembly required once the vehicle was removed from the box. Han Solo's M-68 Landspeeder came mostly fully assembled, and the only piece that needed to be attached was the rear spoiler section. Snapping it into place took only a few seconds.

There was no sticker sheet included and the cockpit details and exterior markings were already finished out of the box, which made this a very easy vehicle to set up for display or play.

Vehicle Features

The landspeeder included one built-in action feature. When the front of the speeder is pushed inward, the driver's seat moves forward, allowing the Han Solo figure to launch out of the cockpit as if the vehicle had crashed. It is a simple feature, but it works well for recreating a crash-style play pattern.

There are no opening panels, hidden compartments, or removable engine covers on Han Solo's landspeeder. The focus here is mostly on the sculpted design, cockpit interaction, and the seat-ejection feature.

Cockpit

The cockpit area is nicely detailed and large enough to comfortably seat two regularly sized 3.75-inch Star Wars action figures. The included Han Solo (Corellia) figure fits especially well and can hold the steering controls with both hands.

There are some unpainted buttons and sculpted details inside the cockpit, but the driver's side looks good thanks to the pre-applied control sticker detail. The sculpted details inside the cockpit are there, but unfortunately there is a lot of paint missing.

Design And Sculpt

Han Solo's M-68 Landspeeder is based on concept artwork for the vehicle rather than being a fully screen-accurate version of the landspeeder seen in Solo: A Star Wars Story. Even with that in mind, the vehicle still captures the feel of young Han Solo's Corellian speeder very well.

The exterior features sculpted wiring details on the sides, front, and rear, along with nicely integrated engine sections. The shapes and mechanical details work well together and give the vehicle a rugged, worn-in Star Wars look.

Hasbro could likely produce a more highly detailed version today, but for a 2018 mainline vehicle priced at $29.99, this release was very well done — especially considering that an exclusive Han Solo action figure was included in the box.

Han Solo (Corellia) Action Figure

The included Han Solo (Corellia) action figure (have a look at the figure entry here) was exclusive to this set and was not released separately. This is the outfit Han wore while driving the landspeeder in Solo: A Star Wars Story, making the figure a perfect match for the vehicle.

The figure features Han in his white Corellia jacket, with dirt detailing on the pants and pilot gloves sculpted onto the hands. It is a unique version of young Han Solo and adds a lot of value to the set, especially for collectors who want ever versions of the character made as a 3 3/4" figure. The only downside is the limited articulation, but we prefer to have a limited articulation figure over not having the figure in the collection at all.

Even though Han Solo's M-68 Landspeeder does not include built-in electronics that can be activated directly on the vehicle, it was Force Link 2.0 enabled. When used with the Force Link 2.0 wearable device, the vehicle could trigger flying and speeder sound effects. The included Han Solo (Corellia) figure also included Force Link 2.0 dialogue lines. You can listen to the recorded audio sample below.

Display Options

There is no landing gear underneath Han Solo's landspeeder, but that is not really an issue. Since this is a landspeeder, it naturally sits very close to the ground and displays well without needing additional support.

Final Thoughts

Han Solo's M-68 Landspeeder is a fun and well-executed vehicle from Hasbro's 2018 Solo: A Star Wars Story toy line (have a look here for all the figure released in this line). The sculpted mechanical details, roomy cockpit, crash feature, Force Link 2.0 compatibility, and exclusive Han Solo (Corellia) figure all help make this set worthwhile. There could have been a little more weathering, dirt, and paint variation on the hull and inside the cockpit, but there are still some scuffs and scratches worked into the design. For the original $29.99 price point, this was a fantastic release and a cool addition to the 3.75-inch Star Wars vehicle lineup.

Considering how few toys and figures were produced from Solo: A Star Wars Story, Han Solo's landspeeder remains a nice piece to have in the collection, especially for fans of young Han Solo and his Corellian years. Thanks for reading, and happy collecting!

Packaging Text:

Han is cagey about where he scored this overpowered M-68 landspeeder, saying little beyond that its previous owner no longer had need of it. The M-68 is a design from the ancient Core World of Corellia, now a principal starship production facility for the Galactic Empire.
