MORE INFORMATION

This Clone Trooper Echo action figure was released in the fall of 2009 in a Walmart exclusive 2-pack along with a Commander Cody figure. Echo can be seen in the first season of the animated Clone Wars TV show episode titled "Rookies".

In short, this Clone Trooper is a slight repaint of the previously single carded released Clone Trooper Echo figure from earlier in 2009. The only visible difference this time is the hand print which Captain Rex left on Echo. It appears stronger in color and doesn't show any weathering. Besides the very minor paint difference, the included blaster is now gray instead of black, and there was no "Gatling-type" gun and projectile included like with the previous release.

Hasbro gave the Clone 14 joints, including a ball-jointed waist. The paint application is simple due to the white armor, but the blue imprint on Echo's chest is nicely done and mimics the on-screen counterpart closely. The blaster fits well into both of the clone trooper's hands. The helmet fits very well over Echo's head, not revealing the chin underneath. Maybe Hasbro should have included a medal with the figure, the way it was seen towards the end of the "Rookies" episode, but even despite that it makes for an awesome, super articulated Clone Trooper figure. However, if you own the previously released Clone Trooper Echo figure, you can most definitely pass on this release.
