Jedi Knight Nicanas Tassu was released in a Target exclusive 2-pack in 2010 together with a the dark lord of the Sith Count Dooku. The set was part of the Geonosis Arena Showdown series, which started in 2009 during The Legacy Collection, and by Fall of 2010 consisted of twelve 2-packs totaling 24 figures. The figure is based on Nicanas Tassu appearance in the Geonosian arena, where he could be seen throwing a lightsaber to Anakin Skywalker.
Nicanas Tassu has 14 points of articulation, including ball-joints in the neck, shoulders, elbows, the waist, knees and ankles. The wrists and both legs were given swivel joints. Nicanas Tassu balances out very nicely, and he can hold the lightsaber (with non-removable blade) tightly in both hands. The jedi robe is a little too long and feels a bit bulky. Like most other Jedi Knights, this figure has also a hole in the belt area where a hilt can be hung from, but unfortunately, there wasn't a lightsaber hilt included with the figure.
Nicanas Tassu has a basic paint application, but looks overall pretty good. Unfortunately, there is no "Geonosian dirt" to be found on the boots, but the paint job in the facial area is done very well. The super articulated sculpt, which even includes a ball-jointed waist, looks great, and should please any collector who was looking forward to adding this never-before-done character/figure to the collection.
The Jedi Knights rush to Geonosis to rescue Obi-Wan, Anakin and Padme from execution. The Jedi brandish their lightsabers against the Geonosian warriors and the massive army of battle droids, super battle droids and droidekas. All hope seems lost that any Jedi will survive this battle, then Yoda arrives with an army of clone troopers. Although many Jedi are lost that day, others survive this climatic battle that ushers in the Clone Wars.
