MORE INFORMATION

  • This 2.75" Stitch as Emperor Palpatine (Hologram) was released single carded on May 21, 2010 for Disney's Star Wars Weekends celebration
  • The set honors the 30th anniversary of The Empire Strikes Back and because the release year for the movie was 1980 Disney limited the number of figures to 1980
  • For this figure Disney simply re-used the existing Stitch as Emperor Palpatine sculpt and cast it in a translucent blue color
  • Another change is that Disney added peg holes in the bottom of both feet to this release
  • Disney included a lightsaber and a removable plastic robe with Stitch
  • The plastic robe can be taken off by popping the arms and head off
  • The arms fall out easy, even when just moving them up and down
  • The lightsaber fits only very loosely into Stitch's left hand
  • The figure is not able to hold anything in the right hand
  • The hood is not removable
  • Stitch as Emperor Palpatine Hologram is very limited with only three points of articulation and no movable parts below the waist
  • The figure has no balancing issues

PACKAGING TEXT

Stitch portrays Emperor Palpatine, the evil Sith Lord and ruler of teh Galactic Empire. In this scene, Darth Vader makes contact via a holographic transmission. When the Emperor appears, Vader listens as Palpatine informs him that there is a great disturbance in the Force. He fears that their new enemy Luke Skywalker could destroy them, so he instructs Vader that the son of Skywalker must not become a Jedi.

In celebration of The Empire Strikes Back 30th anniversary, this figure commemorates the first appearance of Darth Vader's evil Master. In honor of the year of the original tehatrical release of the film, the edition size has been limited to 1980 pieces.
