MORE INFORMATION

There have been quite a few Obi-Wan Kenobi action figures released over the years, some good ones, and some really crappy ones. This version here is among the better ones. Actually, it might be THE best Episode 3 Kenobi released so far as of 2009. Obi-Wan is super articulated with 14 joints, including a ball-jointed waist, and Hasbro included a blue lightsaber (non-removable blade), a removable hard-plastic cloak, a lightsaber hilt and some pilot head gear. The figure's hands have a tight grip on both, the blue lightsaber and the lightsaber hilt. The cloak is a bit bulky and its just thrown over Obi-Wan's shoulders and sits a bit loose. It also looks a bit too shiny compared with other Jedi cloaks. The head gear fits onto Obi-Wan's head, but it might take you a bit time to adjust it, because it sits very loosely. It would have been nice if Hasbro had painted it in a metallic color instead of keeping it a simple plastic brown. It looks like Hasbro has spent some extra time making sure that the head sculpt turned out great, so much so that even from close-up the figure looks pretty close to Ewan McGregor. The paint application is done well as well, especially the application in the facial area is done very nicely. Overall, there is not much to complain about here. The legs might be a bit skinny, and it might take you a while to position him the way you want him to stand (or sit, he does fit into pretty much any vehicle in the 3'75inch line), but with a bit of patience you should get the results you want. So, if you are looking for an Obi-Wan figure based on Revenge Of The Sith, you can't go wrong with this one!

This very same figure was re-released by Hasbro in 2006: Obi-Wan Kenobi (Greatest Battles).
