MORE INFORMATION

This Royal Guard Action Figure was released in 2005 as part of the Revenge Of The Sith toy line and is based on the appearance as seen in the Emperor's chambers when Master Yoda walks in. The figure has 11 joints total, lacking a movable head (due to the helmet) and ankle joints. The red soft goods cloak is not removable, and feels overall too bulky.

The Royal Guard came with two weapons, a blaster and a blaster rifle, but unfortunately did not come with a force pike. The blaster fits into the holster nicely (the holster is hidden underneath the soft goods cloak) and it fits nicely into either hands. The rifle however fits only so-so, and you'll have to play with it for a while until it doesn't fall out of the guard's hands anymore. The figure has some nicely detailed armor underneath which is based on the expanded universe stories of Kir Kanos and Carnor Jax. The helmet is not removable, and due to the length, you can not turn the head. The nice thing about this Royal Guard figure is that it has a vintage feeling to it because of the bulky soft goods cloak. Other than that, the figure feels a bit out-dated (the only ball-joints are in the knees). Chances are, if you are interested in getting this figure, you should probably get two of them, and place one on each side of your Emperor!

PACKAGING TEXT

The Royal Guard is Coruscant's most elite security force. During his rise to power, Palpatine seized control of all senate security, consolidating the blue senate guard and his own crimson personal guard under his direct authority.
