MORE INFORMATION

This Padme Amidala figure is based on her appearance in Attack Of The Clones during the scenes when Anakin and her meet Lars, Owen, Beru and C-3PO on Tatooine. The figure itself looks pretty good overall, especially the head sculpt is done very nicely and looks like Natalie Portman (especially when looked at from the sides!). Padme's dress is nicely detailed, especially the pattern on the back looks nice. The removable hard-plastic cloak fits tightly over the figure and comes close enough to what was seen on screen. Unfortunately, Padme has only 4 movable parts, which are her ball-jointed head, both arms and the entire lower body (the legs are molded together and can't be moved individually). This is really unfortunate, because it limits you drastically as to where you can use this figure in your diorama. Even back in the mid to late 90's Star Wars figures had about 6 joints, so it really makes you wonder why Hasbro tried to save money here (Padme is a main character, right?). Another negative is that the figure has balance problems. Without the cloak, the figure leans to the right. With the cloak on, Padme leans to the left. The only time she stands straight is when she is placed on the stand that came with it, or a regular action stand. There were no weapons, or any other accessories included with the figure. Overall, this Padme action figure looks nice, including the details on the dress and the face sculpt. However, it falls really short when it comes to articulation (not even elbows?) and accessories.

PACKAGING TEXT

While being guarded by Anakin Skywalker after attempts were made on her life, Padme accompanies Anakin to Tatooine on a mission to rescue his mother. Tormented by nightmares, Anakin decides he can wait no longer to go to her aid, and Padme chooses to stay by his side, even if it means going against the decisions of the Jedi Council who are trying to ensure her safety.
