MORE INFORMATION

  • This Black Series General Grievous was released single boxed in March 2019
  • The figure is a Fan Channel exclusive which means it needs to be purchased through a specialty shop online such as Entertainment Earth
  • General Grievous is about 7" (17.78 cm) tall
  • The figure was the first in a series of DELUXE figures which cost $10 more than a regular Black Series 6" figure
  • General Grievous' articulation is impressive, especially the arms with four ball-jointed shoulders, four ball-jointed elbows and two swivel forearms
  • Hasbro included four different lightsabers (all have removable blades), a Battle Droid blaster and a soft-goods cape
  • The soft-goods cape is fantastic because it's lightweight but looks and feels premium
  • The very light weight of the cape is impressive because it doesn't pull the figure back so that it looses balance (nice!)
  • The lightsaber hilts are a bit bulky but it helps General Grievous to get a good grip on all of them
  • The blades can be detached from the hilts
  • The lightsaber hilts can be stored in the pockets on the inside of the cape
  • General Grievous' two arms can be split into four (this is easy to do, just pull them apart)
  • There are three pegs which keep the arms together
  • The Battle Droid blaster fits well into General Grievous' hands, this works well with a single hand or when the arms are snapped together (which makes the hand bigger)
  • The paint application could have been done better, there is no wash or weathering on the entire back, but that isn't an issue when the cape is on the figure
  • There is some weathering on the chest plates but the silver paint on the legs and ankles feel very simple
  • The photo real face printing technology on the face looks good and the sculpt overall looks quite nice
  • We didn't run into any balancing issues with Grievous but it did take some time to get him balanced
  • Our figure came through Entertainment Earth

PACKAGING TEXT

General Grievous was a brilliant Separatist military strategist and a feared Jedi hunter, known for his ruthlessness and hacking cough. His body itself was a weapon, allowing him lighning quick strikes and devastating blows. But he was also quick to run from a fight, a tactic that worked until one final meeting with Obi-Wan Kenobi.
