A commander in the 501st Legion, Appo and his troops obey PalpatineGÇÖs command to storm the Jedi Temple and eliminate all the Jedi inside. Shortly afterwards, Appo and a squad of troopers follow Darth Vader to Kessel in order to deal with a small band of Jedi who escaped the initial purge.
