- R5-D2 was released individually carded
- The droid - which could be seen in the waiting area of the original Star Tours attraction at Disney World and Disneyland - was only available in Disney Theme Parks
- R5-D2's dome can be rotated 360 degrees
- The dome makes a clicking sound
- The middle leg can be moved in and out of the body - but this needs to be done manually (rotating the dome doesn't move the middle leg)
- Unfortunately - the middle leg doesn't retract all the way into the body
- The paint application on R5-D2 is superb - the droid looks very dirty and beat up on the front and the back
- There are no wheels in the bottom feet
- The droid stands very securely without the help from a display stand
