MORE INFORMATION

This Naboo Royal Guard was released in November 1999, which makes it 10+ years old at the time of this review. The figure came with a removable helmet and a blaster. The helmet looks nicely detailed and fits very well over the guard's head, and the blaster can be held tightly by the guard's right hand. The left hand is molded with an open palm and when both arms are positioned forward it looks as if the figure is aiming. The Naboo Royal Guard has a pre-defined leg stance, and since there are no joints in his knees or ankles it can't be adjusted much. The paint application is very basic but it's cleanly applied and the color tones match the on-screen counterparts. It's a decent figure and a good army builder figure, but there is plenty left to be improved upon. But, considering that Hasbro has only released a few Star Wars figures from Amidala's entourage, it's a welcome addition to the Naboo army or any Naboo diorama.
