MORE INFORMATION

  • This Darth Vader figure was released single carded in The Vintage Collection in December 2020
  • This version of Darth Vader is based on his appearance in Rogue One and A New Hope
  • Hasbro correctly added the inner robe over the shoulder armor and gave Vader's helmet red lenses
  • The figure comes with a removable soft-goods cape and Vader's signature red lightsaber
  • The saber fits well into both hands
  • The lightsaber blade is not detachable from the hilt and there was no single non-ignited lightsaber included
  • There is no hook on the belt where a non-ignited lightsaber could be hung from
  • The soft-goods cape doesn't work well on this figure, it has a life of its own and just wants to stay off on the sides (it makes Vader look more Batman than Vader)
  • The sculpt feels dated when compared to other figures released in the same wave, there is no ball-jointed waist, no swivel thighs or ball-jointed/rocker-jointed wrists
  • The black on the cape looks glossy and reflective which is not how we remember Darth Vader
  • Unfortunately there wasn't a second set of hands included with Darth Vader so that the fantastic pose from the card art, where he raises his fist, could be replicated
  • Darth stands well on display
  • All in all this is just an OK version of Darth Vader, but the figure does looks outstanding in the Kenner-inspired Rogue One packaging
