MORE INFORMATION

This Gungan warrior was released individually carded in September 2009 in The Legacy Collection. The Gungan can be seen blowing the horn in The Phantom Menace at the beginning of the Battle Of Naboo.

The Gungan is super articulated with 14 points of articulation, including ball-joints in the shoulders, elbows, knees and ankles. The figure seems to have the correct height, which makes it a bit taller than regular basic figures. The paint application is excellent with various brownish, grayish and golden colors, especially the paint job on the horn is well done with lots of greenish Naboo colors. The details molded into the Gungan Warrior's armor look great, especially the belt and harness impress with their details.

The battle horn plugs into the harness, which is permanently attached to the belt. The Gungan can then grab the horn with the right and the left hand, which allows you to recreate the exact movie scene. The horn has the exact right size and it looks like as if the Gungan is just about to blow the horn. Besides the battle horn, Hasbro included a Gungan Atlatl, which fits tightly into both of the figure's hands. There is also a holster for it on the backside of the belt where it can be plugged in.

Even though the ankles are ball-jointed, you might run into trouble having the figure stand on it's own and you might need a stand. All things considered, this Gungan figure is the best Gungan warrior available as of 2009. Not only is it super articulated, but it's very nicely detailed and looks very close to the Gungans seen in the movie. If the belt was removable, this figure would be a perfect candidate for army building, but even with the harness permanently attached, you might want to pick up more than just one, 'cause it's really that good!
