MORE INFORMATION

  • This Boss (Republic Commando) figure was released single boxed in March 2022 exclusively through GameStop
  • RC-1138, aka Boss, was first seen in the 2005 Star Wars: Republic Commando video game
  • For this figure Hasbro essentially repainted the Black Series Hunter figure and added a new helmet
  • Even though Hunter came with five accessories and a human head with removable helmet, this is not the case here
  • The only accessories included with Boss were a blaster and a backpack
  • The backpack plugs firmly into a hole in the back
  • The blaster fits well into both hands
  • There is no head underneath the helmet
  • The shoulder bells are made out of very soft plastic which bends if you move the arms more than 90° up (nice!)
  • Delta Squad looks beat up and dirty in the game and this unfortunately didn't translate into this figure at all, we get a blue T-visor in the helmet, orange, white and black colors with some gray scratches in the abdominal area, the right thigh and the left knee, but there is no dirty wash on the armor and the back of the figure is all clean
  • There is a hole in Boss' left forearm, a left-over feature from the Hunter figure, which has no functionality and should not be in this figure
  • For an exclusive figure which comes at a higher price point than the Black Series Hunter figure ($19.99 vs. $26.49 at the time when pre-orders were made available) collectors get less accessories, less paint and features which should not be in this figure (hole in the forearm)
  • Considering that this figure didn't need to be sculpted (except for the helmet) it feels like a lackluster version of Boss overall
  • Boss stands well on display without falling over
