MORE INFORMATION

  • Astromech Droid C1-4B was released in a Droid Factory Mystery Crate box in late December 2021 exclusively at Disney Theme Parks
  • The real world droid counterpart can be found inside the Droid Builder experience at Disney's Galaxy's Edge
  • C1-4B is a repaint of the in 2017 released Chopper figure
  • This very same droid, but with a different paint application, was also released in a color-changing 4-pack in 2019, have a look here
  • The droid came inside a mystery crate and it was impossible to tell what droid was inside
  • The droid was wrapped in a black plastic baggie together with a name sticker
  • The crate consists of the base and the top
  • The name sticker can be attached to the front of the base
  • The base has four indentations, three for the astromech droid's feet and one for a BB-Unit's body
  • If you purchase multiple of the mystery crate droids you can interlock the bases
  • For this droid Disney used the build-a-droid sculpt which lets you break the droid apart into the dome, two outer legs, the body and the middle leg
  • The antenna on the top and both arms are removable
  • The arm on the front of the droid can be pulled out
  • The dome can be rotated 360°
  • The two feet have wheels in the bottom
  • The mechanical details underneath the dome were painted silver
  • C1-4B's body was slightly weathered on the front and back
  • The droid stands very securely on display without falling over
  • Even though droids like this are a welcome addition to any diorama as background characters, it was a pain in the butt to acquire because of it being blind boxed
