MORE INFORMATION

  • This Emperor Palpatine (with throne) figure was released in January 2025 exclusively through Amazon.com
  • Hasbro took the very popular 2019 release of this set (archived here: Emperor Palpatine With Throne), changed the robe on the figure and updated the paint on the included faces slightly
  • This Black Series Emperor Palpatine figure has a soft-goods skirt which allows for a bigger range of movement for the legs, this also helps when you sit the figure onto the included throne
  • The soft-goods robe is easily removable
  • Unfortunately, Hasbro made drastic changes to the robes and removed the stitching on the hood and on the sleeves, it's now impossible to have the hood lie flat on top of the hat and it makes the entire figure look goofy
  • All three included heads were given the photo real face printing treatment for a more life-like look, one expression is menacing but neutral, one is angry, and one is smiling
  • All three heads have now a more reddish, flesh-tone look to them than the previous 2019 figure
  • The walking cane fits well into the right hand and when the figure is placed into a leaning forward pose the cane will reach the floor well
  • The throne looks great and looks like a miniature version of the original film prop
  • Once the throne is placed onto the stand it can be rotated in a circle
  • The extra set of hands with the Force Lightning looks great
  • The figure keeps its balance well when on display and it fits perfectly into the chair
  • All in all this is a great figure with a ton of accessories, but the changes to the robes are VERY disappointing, if you have the budget, pick up the 2019 release (archived here: Emperor Palpatine (With Throne))
