This Mercenary Droid was released single carded in August 2026
The figure is based on the Super Battle Droids in the Droid Gotra as seen in the Star Wars: The Mandalorian And Grogu movie
The droid's plastic cape is glued onto the back and not removable
The bandolier going across the chest is its own piece but because the plastic cape is glued to the back it can't be taken off the droid
There are two removable laser attachments on the droid, one one each forearm
You can take them off and plug the included laser attachment with a red laser beam onto the pegs
The sword fits well into both hands
Even though the Mercenary Droid was painted quite well, Hasbro didn't go far enough with the dirt and weathering
Unfortunately some details were left entirely unpainted, like the entire ammunition bandolier on the chest is just one simple beige color with no weathering or dirt on it
There are no opening panels on this Super Battle Droid body
We experienced no balancing issues with the Mercenary Droid while photographing it
Despite some shortcomings when it comes to the paint deco, the Super Battle Droid looks amazing on display and is among one of our favorite 3 3/4" figures released in 2026
