This R7-D23 astromech droid was released during the D23 weekend on August 14 - 16, 2026
Like the name suggests, this droid celebrates Disney's D23 gathering of fans which currently takes place every two years in Anaheim, CA
The droid came with a Mickey sorcerer's hat which can be plugged into the dome
For this droid Disney used the "build-a-droid" sculpt, which lets you take the droid apart into the dome, two outer legs, the middle leg and the body
The droid was painted cleanly and given a paint deco which has not been done before in any of the 3 3/4" lines
R7-D23 can be posed with two legs standing straight or in a moving three-legged moving pose
Even though this droid doesn't appear in any Star Wars storytelling, it makes for a fun droid to have roaming in the back of a diorama
R7-D23 stands very securely on display
