This Lumiya figure was released during The Legacy Collection in October 2009 in a comic 2-pack together with a Luke Skywalker figure. Lumiya, formerly known as Shira Brie, is based on her appearances in the vintage Star Wars Dark Horse comic books series.
Lumiya has 12 points of articulation, only lacking ankle joints. The figure is a little bit shaky on its feet, so you might want to use a stand for more stability. The lightwwaist has non-removable, yellow energy attached to it, which can also be used to balance the figure a little better. Lumiya mostly covers her head in the comic books, but towards the end after she lost the fight with Luke Skywalker, her head is fully revealed. Because of this, Hasbro included a second head with the figure which can be swapped out. This way you can display the figure as both versions. Lumiya's armor is molded nicely in the chest area and on both thighs with plenty of "mechanical" details. The soft-goods cape is removable, and Hasbro opted to make it out of very thin material, so thin that you can see through when the light shines on it.
The paint job is nicely done on both head sculpts. Lumiya's armor could have probably used more wear and dirt, but the way it turned out works well nonetheless. Once you add everything up you get a figure which is nicely detailed and looks pretty close to the source material, and thanks to a 2nd head sculpt you can decide what version of the character to display. If you are a fan of the vintage Star Wars comics, you most definitely want to add this Lumiya figure to your collection!
Luke Skywalker is defeated in a battle with Lumiya, the Dark Lady of the Sith, who wields her lightwhip with devastating precision. But this confrontation is far from over. Lumiya wants to punish the Jedi who caused her to become more cyborg than human, while Luke tries to persuade his opponent to turn away from the dark side.
